"Come Fly with Me" is a 1958 Popular music, popular song composed by Jimmy Van Heusen, with lyrics by Sammy Cahn. "Come Fly with Me" was written for Frank Sinatra, and was the title track of his Come Fly with Me (Frank Sinatra album), 1958 album of the same name. The song sets the tone for the rest of the album, describing adventures in exotic locales, in Mumbai, Bombay, Peru and Acapulco Bay as the Jet Age began. ''Come Fly with Me'' is the fourteenth studio album by American singer Frank Sinatra, released in 1958. In 2000 it was voted number 616 in Colin Larkin's ''All Time Top 1000 Albums''. Background Sinatra's first collaboration with arranger/conductor Billy May, ''Come Fly with Me'' was designed as a musical trip around the world. Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen wrote the title track at Sinatra's request. May would arrange two other Capitol albums for Sinatra, '' Come Dance with Me!'' (1958) and ''Come Swing with Me!'' (1961).
