Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh is an Irish boys' secondary school founded under the patronage of the Presentation Brothers. It is located in Bishopstown, Cork, Ireland. History Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh is a non-fee-paying, Catholic, all-boys school in Bishopstown, Cork. It was founded by Brother Bonaventure of the Presentation Brothers in 1964. The Brothers withdrew from direct management in 1992 but continued their involvement until 2009, when they handed the trusteeship over to the Presentation Brothers School Trust. The school was originally located in Laburnum House, Model Farm Road, and the new school building opened in 1971. Sports and societies Basketball began in Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh in the mid-1980s, and the school won All-Ireland Titles in 1991, 1995, 2005, and 2009. James Christopher O'Sullivan (born May 1986) is an Irish writer, publisher, editor, and academic from Cork city. He is a university lecturer, the founding editor of New Binary Press, and the writer of three collections of poetry. Career Academia O'Sullivan is involved in the study of Digital Humanities, and has an interest in computer-assisted text analysis and new media studies. John Egan (born 20 October 1992) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for EFL Championship club Sheffield United and the Republic of Ireland national team. Beginning his career at Sunderland, he had loan spells with Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Bradford City and Southend United, but was released by the Wearside club without making an appearance for the first team. Tim Ryan (rugby Union)
Tim Ryan (born 6 June 1984) is an Irish rugby union player/coach for Highfield. His position of choice is at tighthead prop. Ryan has played for Ireland U-19's, while his brother Dave Ryan is also a prop and formerly played for Munster. Ryan started his underage rugby at Woodleigh Park for Highfield playing in the second row and won an All-Ireland U-16 title. After his successful stint in the second row he also played in the back row and then found his ideal position in the front row where he still makes good use of his pace and good handling skills. Jamie O'Sullivan (born 19 December 1988) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Bishopstown. He currently plays as a centre-back, but can also be deployed as a full-back or as a corner-back. O'Sullivan was a member of the Cork senior football team that won the 2010 All-Ireland Championship. Michael Shields (born 8 August 1986) is an Irish sportsperson. Born in Cork, he plays Gaelic football with his local club St Finbarr's and was a member at senior level of the Cork county football team from 2005. He won an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in 2010. Playing career Club Shields plays his club Gaelic football with the St Finbarr's club on the south side of Cork city. Neal Horgan
Neal Horgan (born 29 November 1979, in San Francisco) is a professional footballer who has played for some years for Cork City in the League of Ireland Premier Division. Youth and schoolboy success Neal attended primary school in Glasheen Boys' School. Later, he won three Munster Schools Senior soccer titles with his secondary school Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh, in Bishopstown, County Cork. Damien Cahalane (born 10 August 1992) is an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who plays as a centre-back for club sides St Finbarr's and Castlehaven and as a full-back at senior level with the Cork county hurling team.
