Collectives of Young Communists – Communist Youth (''Col·lectius de Joves Comunistes - Joventut Comunista''), more known simply as "CJC" or "Joventut Comunista", is the youth wing of the Party of the Communists of Catalonia (''Partit dels i les Comunistes de Catalunya''), the main communist party in Catalonia (Spain). It is the largest Catalan communist youth organization created as a result of the PCC foundation after the struggle within former PSUC in 1982. It continues the historical line of the Communist Youth of Catalonia (''Joventut Comunista de Catalunya'', JCC). CJC-Joventut Comunista has its own publication, ''Revolució'', and holds a festival every year called ''Festa Revolució''. It is divided in different sectors or federations, such as University, Young Woman, Youth and Work, and the territorial collectives. Party of the Communists of Catalonia ( ca, Partit dels i les Comunistes de Catalunya) was a communist party in Catalonia that existed from 1982 to 2014. The main organ of PCC was ''Avant'' and the theoretical organ was ''Realitat''. Every year the party used to hold a festival for its newspaper – ''Festa d'Avant''. The youth wing of PCC was the Collectives of Young Communists – Communist Youth (''Col·lectius de Joves Comunistes - Joventut Comunista''). PCC was formed in April 1982 by the pro-Soviet faction of the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSUC). The formation of PCC was the peak of a long and intense struggle within PSUC between the pro-Soviet and Eurocommunist sections of the party. The pro-Soviet section was often nicknamed 'Afghans' due to their support of the Soviet line of the war in Afghanistan. Communist Youth of Catalonia (in Catalan: ''Joventut Comunista de Catalunya'') was the youth wing of the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSUC) and the current youth wing of the Communists of Catalonia. JCC was formed as a clandestine organization in 1970. The founding general secretary was Domenech Martínez. In 1971 JCC took part in the foundation of the Permanent Commission of the Assembly of Catalonia (''Comissió Permanent de l' Assemblea de Catalunya''). The central organ of JCC was ''Jove Guàrdia'' and later "Jovent". In Barcelona JCC published ''Juventud'' and in Tarragona it published ''Demà''. Currently, the JCC publish ''Maig''. The World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY) is an international youth organization, and has historically characterized itself as left-wing and anti-imperialist. WFDY was founded in London in 1945 as a broad international youth movement, organized in the context of the end of World War II with the aim of uniting youth from the Allies behind an anti-fascist platform that was broadly pro-peace, anti-nuclear war, expressing friendship between youth of the capitalist and socialist nations.
