Collage
Collage (, from the french: coller, "to glue" or "to stick together";) is a technique of art creation, primarily used in the visual arts, but in music too, by which art results from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. (Compare with pastiche, which is a "pasting" together.) A collage may sometimes include magazine and newspaper clippings, ribbons, paint, bits of colored or handmade papers, portions of other artwork or texts, photographs and other found objects, glued to a piece of paper or canvas. The origins of collage can be traced back hundreds of years, but this technique made a dramatic reappearance in the early 20th century as an art form of novelty. The term ''Papier collé'' was coined by both Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the 20th century when collage became a distinctive part of modern art. History Early precedents Techniques of collage were first used at the time of the invention of paper in China, around 20 ...

''The Loveliest Time'' is the seventh studio album by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen, released on July 28, 2023, by 604 Records, 604, Schoolboy Records, Schoolboy and Interscope Records. It serves as a companion piece to ''The Loneliest Time'' (2022), featuring songs from recording sessions for that album. It was preceded by the single "Shy Boy." Her creativity was stimulated by the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting her to transform an old office space in her Los Angeles residence into a home studio. The recording sessions for what would become ''The Loneliest Time'' produced over 65 B-sides, which Jepsen told her Artists and repertoire, A&R representative that she "could make something of." Yer' Album
''Yer' Album'' is the debut studio album by American rock band James Gang. The album was released in early 1969 on the Bluesway label. This is the James Gang's only album to feature their bassist Tom Kriss. He was replaced by Dale Peters for their next album. The album is the first to feature guitarist Joe Walsh, who would later achieve success as a solo artist and with the Eagles. Of the eleven tracks featured, three are covers — Buffalo Springfield's "Bluebird", "Lost Woman" by the Yardbirds, and "Stop" by Jerry Ragovoy and Mort Shuman, recorded a year earlier by Howard Tate, as well as a version by Al Kooper and Mike Bloomfield for the '' Super Session'' album (albeit without vocals). In the locked groove at the end of side 1 of the LP version of the album (which is normally silent on most phonograph records), the spoken phrase "Turn me over" repeats in a loop, while the locked groove at the end of side 2 repeats the phrase "Play me again". Both phrases were spoken by Walsh ...

Paul Revere & The Raiders
Paul Revere & the Raiders (also known as Raiders) were an American rock band formed in Boise, Idaho, in 1958. They saw considerable U.S. mainstream success in the second half of the 1960s and early 1970s. The band was known for including Revolutionary War-style clothes in their attire. Originally an instrumental rock combo called the Downbeats, the Raiders were formed in 1958 by organist Paul Revere, and included singer Mark Lindsay. After charting in 1961 with the minor hit "Like, Long Hair" and then in late 1963 just missing ''Billboard''s Hot 100 with a cover of "Louie Louie", the band was signed to Columbia Records, under the tutelage of producer Terry Melcher. Collage (Karrin Allyson Album)
''Collage'' is the fourth studio album by the American jazz singer Karrin Allyson. The album was recorded in the Soundtrek Studios of Kansas City, Missouri, and was released on June 30, 1996, by the Concord Jazz label. Reception Owen Curdle of ''JazzTimes'' mentioned: "Allyson, who lives in Kansas City, is a hard-working singer who is good at a lot of things. On ' It Could Happen To You'/'Fried Bananas,' she is cool and seductive. Later, she sings ' Autumn Leaves' in French and 'Faltando Um Pedaco' in Portuguese. On Jay Leonhart's 'Robert Frost' and Billy Joel's 'And So It Goes,' there's a bit of the Elizabethan folk-singer in her presentation. Her versions of Clifford Brown's ' Joy Spring' and Ray Noble's 'Cherokee' are fine bebop displays. She also demonstrates a flair for the blues, on Bonnie Raitt's 'Give It Up Or Let Me Go.' Then there's Monk's ' Ask Me Now.' The album includes an almost all-K.C. cast." AllMusic AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) i ...
