Colin Kelly (American Football)
Colin Kelly (born December 29, 1989) is a professional gridiron football offensive tackle for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Oregon State. He was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He has also been a member of the San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL, and the Ottawa Redblacks and Edmonton Elks in the CFL. College career Kelly attended Oregon State University and played for the Oregon State Beavers football program beginning in 2008. After redshirting his freshman year in 2008, Kelly played in 12 games for Oregon State, with the majority of his playing time coming on special teams. In 2010, Kelly played in 11 games on special teams and as a back-up tackle. Between his junior and senior seasons from 2011 to 2012, Kelly started 25 straight games at right tackle for the Beavers. Offensive Lineman
In gridiron football, a lineman is a player who specializes in play at the line of scrimmage. The linemen of the team currently in possession of the ball are the offensive line, while linemen on the opposing team are the defensive line. A number of NFL rules specifically address restrictions and requirements for the offensive line, whose job is to help protect the quarterback from getting sacked for a loss, or worse, fumbling. The defensive line is covered by the same rules that apply to all defensive players. Linemen are usually the largest players on the field in both height and weight, since their positions usually require less running and more strength than skill positions. 2013 NFL Draft
The 2013 NFL Draft was the 78th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. The draft, which is officially called the "NFL Player Selection Meeting", was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 25 through April 27. Eric Fisher was chosen first overall by the Kansas City Chiefs, becoming the fourth offensive lineman ever to be selected with the top pick (all of them being tackles), since the first Common draft in 1967.
