Coley Jones
Coley Jones (late 1880s – Unknown) was an American country blues mandolin player popular in Dallas, Texas, in the 1920s. Much of Jones's background, such as his residency, date of birth, and death are obscure, but he is best remembered for leading and recording with The Dallas String Band, with their most known song being the traditional Irish folk music, folk tune, "Seven Drunken Nights, Drunkard's Special." Jones was born sometime in the late-1880s, in Texas, and was associated with music at an early age, first with his family ensemble, which was led by his father, guitarist Coley Jones Senior. With Coley Jones split between duties as the mandolin player and an additional guitarist, the group ventured to performances in various dances, outside theaters, and town squares throughout the state. Coley McCabe is an American country music singer. In 2000, she signed to RCA Records Nashville and released two singles. The first of these, "Grow Young with You" (a duet with labelmate Andy Griggs), was also included in the soundtrack to the 2000 film '' Where the Heart Is''. A second single entitled "Who I Am to You" followed, but McCabe never released an album. She also co-wrote SHeDAISY SHeDAISY () was an American country music vocal group from Magna, Utah. Coley McDonough
Coleman Regis "Coley" McDonough (October 10, 1915July 5, 1965) was a professional American football quarterback in the National Football League. He played four seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Cardinals. Formative years A native of North Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, McDonough graduated from St. Thomas High School. In 1944, he also played for "Card-Pitt", a team that was the result of a temporary merger between the Cardinals and the Steelers. The teams' merger was result of the staffing shortages experienced league-wide due to World War II. Six days before the team's second game of the season, McDonough was drafted into the United States Army. Police career and death Coley later became a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania police officer, and served fifteen years with that department. Coley's badge number was 405. The 1966 Notre Dame vs. Michigan State football game is considered one of the greatest and most controversial games in college football history played between Michigan State and Notre Dame. The game was played in Michigan State's Spartan Stadium on November 19, 1966. Michigan State entered the contest 9–0 and ranked No. 2, while Notre Dame entered 8–0 and ranked No. 1. Notre Dame elected not to try for a score on the final series; thus, the game ended in a 10–10 tie. Notre Dame went on to win or share the national title in fourteen polls (including the AP and UPI); Michigan State won or shared in three minor polls, and Alabama, who finished with the only undefeated and untied record, won two minor polls. We the Kings is an American rock band from Bradenton, Florida. The band's eponymous full-length debut album, released in 2007, included the platinum single "Check Yes Juliet", and went on to sell over 250,000 copies in the US. The group's second album ''Smile Kid'' (2009) included Top 40 singles "Heaven Can Wait" and "We'll Be a Dream" (featuring Demi Lovato), as well as the single "She Takes Me High". The band's third album ''Sunshine State of Mind'' was released in 2011 and featured the MTV Video Music Award winner for Most Innovative Music Video of the Year for the group's interactive music video and song "Say You Like Me". Coley Wallace
Coley Wallace (April 5, 1927 – January 30, 2005) was an American actor and heavyweight boxer who once outpointed Rocky Marciano in a very close split decision three-round amateur fight. Although Wallace, a Jacksonville, FL native, had a respectable record as a professional (20-7-0), his claim to fame came in 1948 when, as an amateur, he once defeated in a very close split decision future heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano in the finals of the New York Golden Gloves Tournament. The decision was not welcomed by crowd and many considered it drawn. Wallace fought Ezzard Charles in his professional career, among others. Wallace's contract was "owned" under the table by the notorious Frank "Blinky" Palermo, a member of the Philadelphia crime family. Palermo was imprisoned in 1961 for conspiracy and extortion for the covert ownership of prizefighters. After boxing career, Wallace acted in four movies, twice portraying the boxer Joe Louis.
