Cole Peverley
Cole Robert Peverley (born 3 July 1988) is a New Zealand professional footballer who currently plays for Auckland City in the New Zealand Football Championship. He has earned national representation honours at Under-20, Under-23 and All Whites level. Cole is reportedly signing for papamoa fc this season but is also in discussions with Tauranga city. Career Club Peverley signed a two-year contract for New Zealand Football Championship club Hawke's Bay United at the start of the 2007–08 season and made his début on 3 November 2007 against Canterbury United in a 3–1 win. Peverley went on to make 45 appearances for Hawke's Bay over two seasons and scored 5 goals After two years with Hawke's Bay United, Peverley moved back to his hometown to play for NZFC club Team Wellington. Midfielder
A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders. Tim Brown (footballer)
Tim Brown (born 6 March 1981) is a New Zealand former professional footballer and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of footwear company Allbirds. Brown was one of seven foundation players of the Wellington Phoenix, being signed in 2007 for the club's inaugural season in the A-League. Brown was known for his high work rate as a box-to-box midfielder, often making trademark late runs into the penalty box where he scored most of his goals. 2008 OFC Nations Cup
The 2008 OFC Nations Cup was the eighth edition of the OFC Nations Cup and the first under a new format. It took place as a series of as a home-and-away round-robin tournament on FIFA match dates in 2007 and 2008. Doubling as the qualification tournament for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the tournament was substantially different from earlier editions: 2004 champions Australia did not compete after leaving the Oceania Football Confederation for the Asian Football Confederation and for the first time since the 1996 OFC Nations Cup, no fixed venue was used. Unlike the 2004 OFC Nations Cup, which had featured six teams from the Oceania Football Confederation, the 2008 tournament had just four. The 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification for the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) selected New Zealand to compete in a two-legged home-and-away playoff against Bahrain, the fifth-place team from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for a spot in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The Fiji national football team is Fiji's national men's team and is controlled by the governing body of football in Fiji, the Fiji Football Association. The Brazil Olympic football team (also known as Brazil under-23, Brazil U23) represents Brazil in international football competitions during Olympic Games and Pan American Games.
