''Cock o' the Walk'' is a 1930 American pre-Code drama film directed by Walter Lang. The film is now considered to be lost. Plot Carlos Lopez is an aspiring violinist in Buenos Aires, who pursues and is pursued by many married women. He ends up making enemies of married men in the city. Walter Lang
Walter Lang (August 10, 1896 – February 7, 1972) was an American film director. Early life Walter Lang was born in Tennessee. As a young man he went to New York City where he found clerical work at a movie studio, film production company. The business piqued his artistic instincts and he began learning the various facets of filmmaking and eventually worked as an assistant director. However, Lang also had ambitions to be a painter and left the United States for a time to join the great gathering of artists and writers in the Montparnasse Quarter of Paris, France. Things did not work out as Lang hoped and he eventually returned home and to the film business. Career In 1925, Walter Lang directed his first silent film, ''The Red Kimono''. Wilfred Van Norman Lucas (January 30, 1871 – December 13, 1940) was a Canadian American stage actor who found success in film as an actor, director, and screenwriter. Early life Lucas was born in Norfolk County, Ontario on January 30, 1871,US Passport Application July 17, 1917 (Wilfred Lucas) most likely in the township of Townsend where at the time his father served as a Wesleyan Methodist minister. Natalie Joyce (born Natalie Marie Johnson; November 6, 1902 – November 9, 1992) was an American actress. Biography Born as Natalie Marie Johnson on November 6, 1902, one of eight children to Henry and Elizabeth Johnson in Norfolk, Virginia, U.S. In 1920, at the ago of 18, Johnson's first job performing was alongside her oldest sister in the Ziegfeld Follies. She moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1922 and began her motion picture career in a series of two-reel comedies produced by the Christie Film Company. Around this time she began being billed as Natalie Joyce. She was named one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars of 1925. In 1927 she co-starred as a circus entertainer with Tom Mix in ''The Circus Ace'' for Fox Pictures. Sally Long (December 5, 1901 – August 12, 1987) was an American dancer and actress. Early years Long was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Long. She graduated from Eden Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1921. Dancer Florenz Ziegfeld insured Long for $100,000 against the possibility of her falling in love or marrying when she danced for his Ziegfeld Follies in the early 1920s. (Long later revealed that at that time she was already married with two children.) After performing with the Follies, Long appeared in the New York City comedy production of ''Scandals''.
