Closer To The Sun (Guy Sebastian Album)
''Closer to the Sun'' is the third studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian, released on 28 October 2006 by Sony BMG Australia. Early news hinted that the album would feature a little bit of rock, soul, funk and pop genres. Some tracks that appear on the album were premiered at the free concert at Federation Square on 27 September 2006. The album debuted at number four on 5 November 2006 and achieved Gold status (shipments in excess of 35,000) in its second week (12 November 2006). It has since been credited Platinum (70,000 units). The album exited the Top 50 Albums Chart on 8 January 2007 and moved outside the Top 100 on 26 February 2007. David Ryan Harris (born April 19, 1968) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Los Angeles, California, United States. Born in Evanston, Illinois, Harris moved to Atlanta at a young age. Harris has had a varied career as a musician. Influences Harris has cited artists including Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, and Prince as influences. His solo music ranges in genre from folk to rhythm and blues. Career Follow for Now Harris has been performing on stage since the 1980s when he served as frontman for the Atlanta rock group Follow for Now. Peer Åström (born 1972 in Ljusdal, Sweden) is a Swedish composer, lyricist, musician and record producer and partner with Anders Bagge. The two songwriters / producers are known as Bagge & Peer. They have together written and produced songs for Lara Fabian, Celine Dion, Madonna, Ace of Base, Ashley Tisdale, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez and several others. Sven Anders Bagge (; born 16 January 1968) is a Swedish composer, lyricist, musician and record producer and partner with Peer Åström. The two songwriters / producers are known as Bagge & Peer. Bagge is also one of jury members for the TV4 singing show Idol from 2008 and onwards. Bagge is co-founder and co-owner with partner Christian Wahlberg of the Stockholm-based Murlyn Music Group AB, the international music production company they established in 1998.
