Clayton High School (Missouri)
Clayton High School is a public high school in Clayton, Missouri, a municipality in St. Louis County, that is the only high school in the School District of Clayton. History The first Clayton High School classes met in the upper floors of the Forsyth School beginning in 1908. In 1911, the school graduated its first class. Designed by William B. Ittner, the first Clayton High School building opened in September 1917 at 7500 Maryland Avenue. The building, which cost slightly less than $111,000 to construct and $14,000 to partially equip, included six main classrooms and a large study hall–library. The building also featured a chemistry, biology and physics laboratories, an art room, a music room, and several vocational and technical classrooms. The school also included a combined gymnasium and 700-seat auditorium. By the 1940s, however, the building was overcrowded, and the district considered multiple options for its replacement. Clayton High School is a comprehensive community public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from Clayton, in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as the lone secondary school of the Clayton Public Schools. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 441 students and 41.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.8:1. Clayton High School (Oklahoma)
Clayton High School Auditorium is an historic structure serving the public school of Clayton, Oklahoma. Clayton is located in the Kiamichi Mountains of Pushmataha County, Oklahoma. The auditorium was constructed as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) public works project in 1936-1937, during the Great Depression. It provided much-needed jobs in the Clayton area, which had been economically ravaged. According to an architectural survey completed in 1988, the auditorium is almost unique in being only one of two known WPA buildings constructed for sole use as auditoriums rather than as dual-use auditoriums and gymnasiums. (Much more common elsewhere in the county and Oklahoma was the dual-use auditorium and gymnasium, such as the WPA built elsewhere in the county in Antlers, Oklahoma, Moyers, Oklahoma and Rattan, Oklahoma.) Clayton Valley High School
Clayton Valley Charter High School (CVCHS) is a comprehensive charter high school located in Concord, California, United States, just under two miles from Clayton. Most of the school's students live in Clayton and the nearby Concord neighborhoods. As a charter school, CVCHS has both a traditional principal as site leader and an executive director who heads the school district central office as superintendent. It also has a nine-member governing board. CVCHS houses ClaytonArts Academy. It is the location of the local radio station 90.5 "The Edge" KVHS, which broadcasts mostly hard rock and heavy metal music. Its newspaper is ''The Talon'', which is part of the High School National Ad Network. The current executive director is Dave Fehte.
