Clayson Queiroz
Clayson Rubens Dantas Queiroz (born 15 October 1978), known as Clayson Rato, is a Brazilian former footballer. Playing career Clayson Rato began his football career with Paysandu Sport Club, the club he supported in his youth. He scored a goal as the club defeated Ponte Preta 4–3 during the 2002 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Clayson had stints with clubs with Clube do Remo, Esporte Clube Rio Verde, and Abaete Futebol Clube. In 2006, he went abroad to Canada to sign with the Toronto Lynx of the USL First Division. His signing was announced in a press conference where the Lynx introduced two more signings from Brazil. Clayson failed to make an appearance during his short stint with Toronto, as he did not fit into Duncan Wilde's vision for the club and was subsequently deemed as surplus. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D) is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on April 9, 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. In 2016 the Série D was expanded to 68 clubs, but in 2022 it will be reduced to 64 clubs. Caribbean Stars Soccer Club was a professional soccer club in the Greater Toronto Arena, Canada, which evolved to a news and sports website. Its inception was in 1995 as a founding member of the Canadian International Soccer League (CISL). In 2006, Caribbean Stars returned to the professional scene with the launching of the Caribbean Selects franchise which competed in the Canadian Soccer League (CSL). London City Soccer Club is a Canadian soccer team founded in 1973. The team is currently a member of the Canadian Academy of Soccer League. The team plays their home games at the Milton Community Sports Park in the town of Milton, Ontario. The team's colours are red, black and white. Formed on Valentine's Day of 1973 by Markus Gauss in order to field a London entry for the National Soccer League after the departure of German Canadian FC. The Gauss family ran and provided the city of London a professional team for 38 years.
