Llavallol
Llavallol is a district of Lomas de Zamora Partido in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It forms part of the Greater Buenos Aires urban conurbation. The settlement was named in honour of Felipe Llavallol who governed Buenos Aires between the end of the Battle of Cepeda (1859) and 1860. History At the arrival of the Spaniards these lands were occupied by the querandíes. In 1580, the Spanish conqueror Juan de Garay and 80 neighbors founded for the second time Buenos Aires. Later Garay led an expedition against the tribes of the area, taking part of the expulsion of all the autochthonous inhabitants. In 1585 land grants were granted, executed by Juan Torres de Vera Aragón, and the limits were established taking as a reference the streams, hills, rivers and any natural element that could be used as such. This area corresponded to the Andalusian Pedro López de Tarifa, who was awarded land with the Matanza River half a league wide by two leagues long. He was married to Antoni ...

People From Lomas De Zamora Partido
A person ( : people) is a being that has certain capacities or attributes such as reason, morality, consciousness or self-consciousness, and being a part of a culturally established form of social relations such as kinship, ownership of property, or legal responsibility. The defining features of personhood and, consequently, what makes a person count as a person, differ widely among cultures and contexts. In addition to the question of personhood, of what makes a being count as a person to begin with, there are further questions about personal identity and self: both about what makes any particular person that particular person instead of another, and about what makes a person at one time the same person as they were or will be at another time despite any intervening changes. The plural form "people" is often used to refer to an entire nation or ethnic group (as in "a people"), and this was the original meaning of the word; it subsequently acquired its use as a plural form of per ...

Argentine Heavy Metal Singers
Argentines (mistakenly translated Argentineans in the past; in Spanish (masculine) or (feminine)) are people identified with the country of Argentina. This connection may be residential, legal, historical or cultural. For most Argentines, several (or all) of these connections exist and are collectively the source of their being ''Argentine''. Argentina is a multiethnic and multilingual society, home to people of various ethnic, religious, and national origins, with the majority of the population made up of Old World immigrants and their descendants. As a result, Argentines do not equate their nationality with ethnicity, but with citizenship and allegiance to Argentina. Aside from the indigenous population, nearly all Argentines or their ancestors immigrated within the past five centuries. Among countries in the world that have received the most immigrants in modern history, Argentina, with 6.6 million, ranks second to the United States (27 million), and ahead of other immigr ...

Malón 360
''Malón'' (from the Mapudungun ''maleu,'' to inflict damage to the enemy) is the name given to plunder raids carried out by Mapuche warriors, who rode horses into Spanish, Chilean and Argentine territories from the 17th to the 19th centuries, as well as to their attacks on rival Mapuche factions. Historian Juan Ignacio Molina said the Mapuche considered the malón to be a means of obtaining justice: Leaders such as Lientur used the malón against European colonists: it consisted of a fast surprise attack by a number of mounted Mapuche warriors against the white (''huinca'') populations, ranches, settlements and fortifications in Chile and Argentina, with the aim of obtaining horses, cattle, provisions, and captives, often young women. The rapid attack without formal order did not give the targets time to organize a defense, and it left behind a devastated population unable to retaliate or pursue. In Chile, the Spaniards responded with a system of fortifications known as ''La ...

Víctimas Del Vaciamiento
''Víctimas del Vaciamiento'' is the third and last album of Argentine heavy metal band Hermética, released in 1994 by Radio Trípoli Discos. It was the best selling album of the band. Background Hermética's first drummer, Tony Scotto, left the band in 1991 and was replaced by Claudio Strunz, right before they recorded ''Ácido Argentino''.
