The City Municipality of Maribor (), also the City of Maribor ( sl, Mestna občina Maribor, acronym MOM), is one of twelve city municipalities in Slovenia. Its seat is Maribor, the second-largest city in Slovenia. The population of the municipality was 113,778 in January 2021. Razvanje
Razvanje () is a village south of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Maribor. History Rich archeological sites show that the first people settled here probably at the end of the Neolithic, 4,000 years ago. Remains of stone tools (axes, diggers, hammers, and chisels) and bronze objects (axes, spearheads, and swords) have been found. Due to its strategic location, some tribes from the Razvan area settled on the Pohorje ridge between Razvanje and Rothwein in the 8th century BC. This site, Poštela, was fortified, and on the plain below it cremation burials in clay urns took place until the settlement was destroyed. In the 2nd century BC, Poštela was re-settled by the Celts, who were also the first identified people in the area. Pekre
Pekre () is a settlement southwest of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Maribor. The local landmark is the church on top of a small hill to the east of the main settlement. Pekel, Maribor
Pekel ( or ) is a settlement north of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Maribor. Name Pekel was attested in written sources circa 1500 as ''in der Hell''. The name is pronounced ''Pêkel'' (corresponding to the dialect pronunciation of the common noun ''pêkel'' 'Hell') rather than the more standard ''Pekèl''. Across Slovenia there are many oronyms, regional names, and microptoponyms named ''Pekel''. Malečnik
Malečnik (, german: Maletschnig) is a village on the left bank of the Drava River east of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Maribor. There are two churches in the settlement. The local parish church is dedicated to Saint Peter and was first mentioned in documents dating to 1236, but the current building is Baroque and was built in 1740.
