Thaddeus Herrmann
Thaddeus "Thaddi" Herrmann (born 1972) is a German electronic musician, label owner as well as music and technology journalist. Life and career In 1992 Herrmann, Holger Phrack and Rob Marvin founded the band Sonic Subjunkies, that released some full-length recordings on Alec Empires label Digital Hardcore Recordings (DHR). Their first EP ''Suburban Soundtracks Volume 1'' was released in 1994 on DHR. The Sonic Subjunkies were featured in the online tribute from BBC's Radio 1 to John Peel. During these years Herrmann and Bassdee were also working as radio DJs at 98.8 KISS FM Berlin where they hosted the drum and bass show ''Radio Massive''. Casino Versus Japan or Casino vs. Japan (born Erik Paul Kowalski; May 5, 1973) is a United States-based musician who works in electronic music. Influences As a child, Erik Kowalski was originally heavily influenced by Jan Hammer's music for ''Miami Vice'', as well as Vangelis and Jean-Michel Jarre. Kowalski taught himself piano, guitar and drums in the early '90s while in high school. I'm Not a Gun is an American post-rock and electronica musical duo by John Tejada and Takeshi Nishimoto, formed in 2000. Background Tejada and Nishimoto met in 1998 and discovered that they took inspiration from the same musicians. Shortly afterward, they held several recording sessions and eventually released multiple albums on the City Centre Offices imprint. Their music has been remixed by several artists, including Dntel, Ulrich Schnauss, and Polar. The duo's music has been compared to that of the Chicago-based post-rock group, Tortoise. Their name comes from the animated feature film ''The Iron Giant''. Ulrich Schnauss (born 1977) is a German electronic musician and producer based in London, England. He is best known for being a member of Tangerine Dream from 2014 to 2020. Biography Ulrich Schnauss was born in the northern German seaport of Kiel in 1977. He had piano lessons when he was seven. He became interested in a range of music: My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Tangerine Dream, Chapterhouse, and early bleep and breakbeat tracks. There was not much opportunity to see his musical influences in Kiel, so he moved to Berlin in 1996. Schnauss' musical output began under the pseudonyms of View to the Future and Ethereal 77.
