''Cinematique'' is the first of three in a series of albums by Paul Haig Paul Haig (born 4 September 1960)Strong, Martin C. (2003) ''The Great Indie Discography'', Canongate, , p. 386-7 is a Scottish indie musician, singer and songwriter. He was originally a member of post-punk band Josef K, active between 1979 ..., subtitled "Themes to Unknown Films". The album, which is divided into three "suites", was released by LTM in 1991. The suites are: City Of Fun, Lagondola and Flashback. The album was re-released by LTM in February 2004. Artwork and track listing were identical to the original release. Paul Haig (born 4 September 1960)Strong, Martin C. (2003) ''The Great Indie Discography'', Canongate, , p. 386-7 is a Scottish indie musician, singer and songwriter. He was originally a member of post-punk band Josef K, active between 1979 and 1982. Early life Haig was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and grew up in middle class Oxgangs. His father was an owner of a fiberglass factory and his mother a secretary for a dental practice. His earliest memories of music were listening to Beatles records on his parent’s Stereogram. Though not from a musical family, his father bought him his first guitar at age 12. On his father’s advice, he first learned to play by ear, humming the melody until he could work out the parts. After taking a few guitar lessons, he began to teach himself songs by artists like David Bowie and the Velvet Underground, recording himself on guitars and vocals playing their song The Gift. ''Coincidence vs Fate'' is the fourth album released by Edinburgh musician Paul Haig Paul Haig (born 4 September 1960)Strong, Martin C. (2003) ''The Great Indie Discography'', Canongate, , p. 386-7 is a Scottish indie musician, singer and songwriter. He was originally a member of post-punk band Josef K, active between 1979 .... The album was released by Belgian independent label, Les Disques Du Crepuscule in 1993. The album was originally recorded in New York City and Chicago in 1989. The album was financed by Virgin Records subsidiary Circa who had released Paul's previous album ''Chain''. After the lead single, "I Believe in You", failed to make any impression on the charts, Circa decided to cut their losses and the album - to be called ''Right On Line'' - was shelved. As they had done in the past, Les Disques Du Crepuscule came to the rescue, stepped in and bought the rights. The album has a very heavy Chicago house sound.
