Chuck Martin (American Football)
Charles Thomas Martin (born January 8, 1968) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach at Miami University and was previously the offensive coordinator at the University of Notre Dame. Martin was the head coach at Grand Valley State University from 2004 to 2009, compiling a record of 74–7. His Grand Valley State Lakers won consecutive NCAA Division II Football Championships in 2005 and 2006 and were runners-up in 2009. Early life and education Born and raised in Park Forest, Illinois in an Irish Catholic family, Martin graduated from Rich East High School in 1986. Martin attended Millikin University, an NCAA Division III school, and played both football and basketball. José Luis "Chuck" Martín is a Puerto Rican college basketball coach. , he was an assistant chach at the University of Oregon. Martin was head coach at Marist College, a position he held for five seasons. Basketball career As a basketball player, Martin played for the Capitanes de Arecibo of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) for five seasons. Charles E. Martin Jr. (born July 20, 1961) is an American politician. He is a Republican representing the 49th district in the Georgia House of Representatives. Martin was a City Councillor in Alpharetta, Georgia from 1993 to 1995, and mayor from 1996 to 2002. Martin has represented District 49 in the Georgia House of Representatives since 2003, and is running for reelection in 2020. After Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election in Georgia and Donald Trump refused to concede while making false claims of fraud, Martin supported a performance review of the top election official in Fulton County, a heavily Democratic county.
