Chrysler Open
The Chrysler Open was a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour that took place in Sweden. Held at Sjögärde Golf Club in 1998, the tournament was moved to Halmstad Golf Club, host of the 2007 Solheim Cup, in 1999. The tournament's name is the result of a sponsorship agreement with Harry Karlsson Bilimport AB, importer of Chrysler vehicles. Laura Davies won the 1998 and 1999 installments scoring 284 (72-71-71-70) and 273 (71-69-66-67). Carin Koch won the final tournament after scoring 277 (−11) following rounds of 70-73-65-69, finishing 4 strokes ahead of Samantha Head at 281 and 7 strokes ahead of Sophie Gustafson and Catrin Nilsmark at 284. Catrin Nilsmark
Catrin Maria Nilsmark (born 30 August 1967) is a Swedish professional golfer who played on both the United States-based LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour. Early life Nilsmark was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. She grew up in Lerum east of Gothenburg and began her golf career at Öijared Golf Club, Sweden's first golf club with two 18-hole courses. Amateur career In 1984 she became the Swedish Youth under-19 Champion. She won the Orange Bowl International Junior Championship in Coral Gables, Florida in December 1984. Alison Nicholas
Alison Nicholas, (born 6 March 1962) is an English professional golfer. Amateur career Nicholas was born in Gibraltar. She was educated at the School of St Mary and St Anne (now Abbots Bromley School for Girls). She enjoyed a very successful amateur career in England. She started playing golf at the age of 17 and won the 1982 and 1983 Northern Girls Amateur Open. Nicholas was the 1983 British Amateur Stroke Play champion. In 1983, Nicholas won the Yorkshire Ladies County Championship. Professional career Nicholas turned professional in 1984 and joined the Ladies European Tour in the same year. Patricia Mary "Trish" Johnson (born 17 January 1966) is an English professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Johnson was born in Bristol. Åsa Gottmo (born 22 June 1971 in Kalmar) is a retired Swedish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour 1993–2008. She won the 2002 Wales WPGA Championship of Europe and finished 5th in the Order of Merit twice. Helen Alfredsson
Helen Christine Alfredsson (born 9 April 1965) is a Swedish professional golfer who played primarily on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and is also a life member of the Ladies European Tour. She won the LPGA major Nabisco Dinah Shore and twice finished second in the U.S. Women's Open. She also won the Women's British Open once and the Evian Masters three times before those events were designated as majors in women's golf by the LPGA Tour.
