''Christy, Choices of the Heart'' is a 2001 American two-part television miniseries starring Lauren Lee Smith, Stewart Finlay-McLennan, James Waterston, Diane Ladd, Dale Dickey, Andy Stahl, and Bruce McKinnon. Individually, the first part is known as ''Christy: A Change of Seasons'' and the second part is known as ''Christy: A New Beginning''. The miniseries was developed for television by executive producer Tom Blomquist, and aired on the Pax TV on May 13–14, 2001. Catherine Marshall
Catherine Sarah Wood Marshall LeSourd (27 September 1914 – 18 March 1983) was an American author of nonfiction, inspirational, and fiction works. She was the wife of well-known minister Peter Marshall. Biography Marshall was born in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the Reverend John Ambrose Wood and Leonora Whitaker Wood. From the age of 9 until her graduation from high school, Marshall was raised in Keyser, West Virginia, where her father served as pastor of a Presbyterian church from 1924 to 1942. While a junior at Agnes Scott College, she met Peter Marshall, marrying him in 1936. The couple moved to Washington, DC, where her husband served as pastor of the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church and Chaplain of the United States Senate. In 1940, Marshall contracted tuberculosis, for which at that time no antibiotic treatment was available. She spent nearly three years recovering from the illness. Andrew Render Stahl (born April 8, 1952) is an American actor who has been acting for over 20 years. Two of his more memorable roles were Tom McHone in the '' Christy'' series and General Armand Stassi in '' seaQuest 2032''. Life and career Stahl was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1952. As a child, Stahl moved around as his father was an airline pilot, who was transferred a lot. When he was nine, he moved with his parents to a farm in Butler County, Kentucky, which he still owns and operates today. He graduated from University High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1970 and Western Kentucky University in 1975. At WKU, Stahl served as one of the section editors of WKU's awarding-winning yearbook, The Talisman. He was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity, Eta Rho Chapter. Typhoid fever, also known as typhoid, is a disease caused by '' Salmonella'' serotype Typhi bacteria. Symptoms vary from mild to severe, and usually begin six to 30 days after exposure.
