Christopher Robert Reed
Christopher Robert Reed (born January 11, 1942) is an American historian known for his expertise on the African American experience in twentieth century Chicago, Illinois. Reed was assistant professor of Black Studies at the University of Illinois from 1982 to 1987, and professor of history at Roosevelt University from 1987 to 2006 as an associate and then full professor. He has published a number of books in his fields. Personal life Reed was born to Robert and Josephine Reed in Chicago, Illinois on January 11, 1942. He grew up in Chicago's East Garfield Park neighborhood, where he attended John Marshall Elementary School and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1959. The 2008 United States Senate election in Iowa was held on November 4, 2008. Incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Tom Harkin sought re-election to a fifth term in office. Chris Reed (July 7, 1989 – March 14, 2020) was an American-born Japanese ice dancer. With his sister Cathy Reed, he became a seven-time Japanese national champion (2008–2011, 2013–2015) and the 2011 Asian Winter Games silver medalist. They competed at two Winter Olympics (2010, 2014) and reached the final segment at nine ISU Championships. With Kana Muramoto, Reed was the 2018 Four Continents bronze medalist, the 2017 Asian Winter Games silver medalist and a three-time Japanese national champion (2016–2018). Christopher William Reed (born May 20, 1990) is an English born former professional baseball pitcher. He played in two games in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Miami Marlins in 2015. Reed has also represented Great Britain internationally. Early life Reed was born in London and spent the first year of his life in England where his father was working. The family thereafter relocated to Southern California. Career Amateur career Reed attended Cleveland High School in Reseda, California. Christopher Reed (born July 22, 1992) is an American football guard for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars after the 2015 NFL Draft. He played college football at Minnesota State. He has also been a member of the Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers. College career Reed attended Minnesota State University where he played as a left tackle for the Minnesota State football team. Chris Reed is a competitive shooter known for being the winner of the second season of History Channel's marksmen competition ''Top Shot''. He also competed in the Field & Stream's Total Outdoorsman Challenge for 5 years, finishing in the top 3 four times. Christopher Mark Wells Read (born 10 August 1978) is an English former cricketer who was the captain of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.
