Christian Machado
Cristian Machado (born July 23, 1974) is a Brazilian-American musician, who is the current vocalist of the American heavy metal musical ensemble Lions at the Gate, is the former vocalist for the nu metal band Ill Niño as well as a featured vocalist in the Roadrunner United project. He has also played in Headclamp and La Familia, in addition to making numerous guest appearances on albums such as Sepultura's ''Nation'', Soulfly's '' 3'' and 40 Below Summer's ''The Mourning After''. Early life Cristian Emerson Machado was born in Rio de Janeiro, the son of a musician, but soon moved to Venezuela with his mother. In 1986, they moved to New Jersey where he spent the rest of his teens. He only knew his father, Marcello Machado, halfway through his teenage years. Lions at the Gate is an American heavy metal band consisting of former Ill Niño members Diego Verduzco (guitar), Cristian Machado (vocals), and Ahrue Luster (guitar), together with Stephen Brewer (bass), and Fern Lemus (drums). Since their formation, the band released 5 singles. The most recent, ''Find My Way'', featuring guest vocals by Tatiana Shmailyuk of Jinjer, was released in April 2022. History Lions at the Gate was formed in 2021 by vocalist Cristian Machado, guitarists Ahrue Luster and Diego Verduzco. All three members left Ill Niño in 2019. God Forbid is an American heavy metal band formed in East Brunswick, New Jersey in 1996. History Early career (1999-2004) Building up a following in the late 1990s by touring with bands such as GWAR, Nile, Cradle of Filth and Candiria, God Forbid's first full album ''Reject the Sickness'' was released by 9volt Industries in 1999. David Wayne Williams (February 29, 1972 – August 14, 2002) was an American vocalist best known as the original lead singer for the rock band Drowning Pool. Biography He grew up in Princeton, Texas, living with his parents Charles Edward and Jo-Ann Williams. He grew up in a pious family which caused him to move away from religion. Notably, he also used to wear a T-shirt that read "Worship Satan and Smoke Crack". In 1999, he joined Drowning Pool, which had formed in 1996 and had previously performed as an instrumental three-piece. The band released their debut album with Williams, '' Sinner'', in 2001. ''The Mourning After'' is the third studio album by the American nu metal band 40 Below Summer. The album was released on October 28, 2003 via Razor & Tie Records. Two singles were released from the album in "Self Medicate" and "Taxi Cab Confession". During promotion of the album, 40 Below Summer appeared on '' Headbangers Ball'', and the video for " Self Medicate" found significant airplay and the song was featured on the soundtrack for the thriller film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
