Chris Watson
John Christian Watson (born Johan Cristian Tanck; 9 April 186718 November 1941) was an Australian politician who served as the third prime minister of Australia, in office from 27 April to 18 August 1904. He served as the inaugural federal leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) from 1901 to 1907 and was the first member of the party to serve as prime minister. Watson was born in Valparaíso, the son of a German Chilean seaman. He grew up on the South Island of New Zealand, taking the surname of his step-father when his Irish-born mother remarried. He left school at a young age, working in the printing industry as a Compositor (typesetting), compositor. Watson moved to Sydney in 1886 and became prominent in the local Australian labour movement, labour movement. Chris Watson (born June 30, 1977 in Chicago, Illinois) is a former American football cornerback in the National Football League. He played for the Denver Broncos, the Buffalo Bills, and the Detroit Lions. Early years Chris attended Leo Catholic High School in Chicago, part of the Chicago Catholic League. College Watson attended Eastern Illinois University as a student and a football standout. In football, he was a four-year letterman and a three-year starter. Professional career Watson was drafted 67th overall in the third round by the Denver Broncos of the 1999 NFL Draft, then the highest an Eastern Illinois player had ever been drafted. Head coach and fellow alumnus Mike Shanahan was so impressed by Watson's performance in the pre-season, he released both veteran return specialists and made Watson the starter. Chris Watson (כריס ווטסון; born July 16, 1975) is an American–Israeli former basketball player, who has played on the Israel national basketball team, and whose positions have been power forward and center. He is 6' 7" (200 cm) tall. He attended Niagara University, where he led the Conference in 2-point field goals (165) in 1995–1996. He was inducted into the Niagara University Hall of Fame. Watson has played professional basketball for two decades. He has played primarily in Israel (with Hapoel Tel Aviv, Hapoel Holon, Ironi Ramat Gan, GreenTops Netanya, and Ironi Ashkelon). Watson won the Israeli Championship with Hapoel Holon in 2007–2008, and again in 2008–2009. He was selected to the Israeli Basketball Premier League All-Star Game in 2011. Christopher Richard Watson (born 1952) is an English musician and sound recordist specialising in natural history. He was a founding member of the musical group Cabaret Voltaire, and Watson's work as a wildlife sound recordist has covered television documentaries and experimental musical collaborations. Music Watson was a founding member of two experimental music groups, Cabaret Voltaire and The Hafler Trio. He has released several solo albums of field recordings including: ''Outside the Circle of Fire'', ''Stepping into the Dark'' (which won an Award of Distinction at the 2000 Prix Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria), ''Weather Report'', and ''El Tren Fantasma''. Chris Watson (singer)
Christopher Watson is a British tenor specialising in Early music, Baroque and Contemporary repertoire. Born in Leamington Spa on 10 January 1969, and raised in Canterbury, Kent in England, Watson studied tuba before reading music at the University of Exeter. Having sung in and directed Exeter University Chapel Choir, and a spell as a choral scholar at Exeter Cathedral, he went on to hold positions as lay clerk at Durham Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, and Westminster Cathedral. He is now based in Melbourne, Australia, where he is the Director of Music of the Choir of Trinity College, University of Melbourne. While based in Europe he regularly sang as a soloist, and as a consort singer with The Tallis Scholars, with whom he made more than 500 appearances, Alamire, Gallicantus and Collegium Vocale Gent. Christopher Watson (translator)
Christopher Watson (died 1581) was an English historian and translator. Life A native of Durham, Watson was educated at St John's College, Cambridge, where he proceeded B.A. in 1566. For some time he resided with Thomas Gawdy, then recorder of Norwich, at his residence Gawdy Hall in Harleston, Norfolk. He commenced M.A. in 1569, and his name occurs in the list of the opponents of the new statutes of the university in 1572. Watson was ordained deacon at Norwich in 1574. It is supposed that he died before 12 June 1581, when the Stationers' Company licensed to Henry Carre "a lamentation for the death of Mr. Christofer Watson, mynister". He has been tentatively identified with the Christopher Watson who was appointed rector of Bircham Newton, Norfolk, in 1573, and also resigned the rectory of Beechamwell in the same county before 1583.
