Christopher James, 5th Baron Northbourne
Christopher George Walter James, 5th Baron Northbourne, 6th Baronet, DL, FRICS (18 February 1926 – 8 September 2019), was a British farmer and aristocrat. He was one of the ninety hereditary peers elected to remain in the House of Lords after the passing of the House of Lords Act 1999 until his retirement in 2018, and sat as a crossbencher. Biography The son of Walter James, 4th Baron Northbourne, and his wife, Katharine Louise Nickerson of Boston, Massachusetts, he succeeded to his father's title in 1982. He was educated at Eton College in Berkshire and Magdalen College, Oxford, where he graduated with a Master of Arts in 1959. Lord Northbourne served as the Crossbench spokesman for families and children in the House of Lords. He was deputy chair of Toynbee Hall and had been chair of Betteshanger Farms Ltd until 1997. Donald Chris James (born October 4, 1962) is an American former professional baseball utility player, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) 10 years (–), for eight teams: the National League (NL) Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, and Houston Astros; and the American League (AL) Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, and Boston Red Sox. Christopher James (born 1975) is a British poet. Life Christopher James was educated at Newcastle and the University of East Anglia, where he graduated with an MA in Creative Writing. He now lives in Suffolk with his wife, young family. He works in London as head of corporate communications for the Scout Association. Prior to this he worked in advertising for both J&L Group and CPG Yorkshire selling advertising features to business-to-business magazines. Christopher Nigel James (born 28 December 1978 in Luton, Bedfordshire) is a British auto racing driver. Racing career James competed in the Fiat Racing challenge between 2000 and 2005 at the wheel of a Fiat Punto, taking several wins. He returned to racing in 2008, driving in selected rounds of the Mini Challenge. After half a season in 2009, he contested a full campaign in 2010 with one race win & finished third in class. In 2011 he competed in the British Touring Car Championship. He drove a Chevrolet Lacetti for his own ES Racing team, his best finish throughout the season was a twelfth place at Donington. In 2012 Team ES Racing.com acquired two ex- Triple Eight Vauxhall Vectra for himself and Dave Newsham. Christopher Paul James (born 4 July 1987) is a professional football player who currently plays for Klubi 04 in the Kakkonen, the third highest level of the Finnish football league system. He is also the assistant coach of HJK Helsinki's U14 team. James represented New Zealand at international level. James is predominantly a central midfielder or deep-lying playmaker, but is also able to play very well in offensive roles. Club career James' first professional contract was with Premier League side Fulham. Although he never made a senior first-team appearance, he made many appearances for the reserve side. James was offered a one-year contract extension by Fulham in 2007, however James declined the offer to pursue first team opportunities elsewhere. Chris James is an Australian former rugby league referee who controlled 228 first-grade games. Career James started his career controlling matches in the Group Six Rugby League competition. He was graded into the NSWRLRA in 2004, becoming referee number 900. In 2009 he made his National Rugby League debut, controlling a match between the Gold Coast Titans and the Newcastle Knights. That year, he also controlled the Jim Beam Cup grand final and matches at the Pacific Cup. He became a regular first grade referee and controlled the 2013 City vs Country Origin match. His 100th NRL game was on 5 April 2014, between the Penrith Panthers and the Canberra Raiders. ''Big Brother 2012'', also known as ''Big Brother 13'', was the thirteenth series of the British reality television series '' Big Brother'', and the second series to broadcast on Channel 5. The series premiered with a live launch on 5 June 2012 and ran for 70 days, concluding on 13 August 2012. The series was originally planned to run for thirteen weeks, but was cut back to ten weeks in order to accommodate ''Celebrity Big Brother 10''. The series was won by Luke Anderson, who won half of the £100,000 prize fund, with the remainder taken by Conor McIntyre as part of the White Room twist. Anderson is the second transgender contestant to win the show, the first being Nadia Almada who won the show back in 2004. The runner-up was Adam Kelly.
