Chris Hegarty (footballer, Born 1984)
Chris Hegarty (born 24 July 1984) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder. Career Hegarty came through the youth ranks at Dundee and made several first team appearances, including four in the Scottish Premier League. He moved to Peterhead on loan, however, and eventually signed for the club on a permanent basis. After a brief spell with Arbroath during the 2007–08 season, Jim Weir took Chris to Montrose on transfer deadline day in January 2008. Hegarty grabbed an opportunity in November to stake a claim for the right back position vacated by David Worrell. He strung together a series of excellent performances in both the attacking and defensive parts of his game. Hegarty scored his first Montrose goal from the penalty spot in a 3–1 home win against Elgin City in January 2009. Chris Hegarty (born 13 August 1992) is a Northern Irish footballer who played as a defender. Club career Born in Dungannon, Hegarty began his career at youth level with local team Dungannon Swifts. He joined Millwall in 2008 after being scouted playing for the Northern Ireland under-16 team. He captained both the youth and reserve teams (winning the youth league in the process), before joining Hibernian on trial in 2010. He was offered contracts by both Hibs and fellow Scottish Premier League side Rangers, and opted to sign for the latter, revealing "I fulfilled an ambition by playing for the club I grew up supporting". David Worrell
David Worrell (born 12 January 1978) is an Irish footballer who played as a right back. Born in Dublin, he played in the Scottish Premier League for Dundee United, and the Football League for Plymouth Argyle and Rotherham United. Life and career Worrell signed for Blackburn from Shelbourne in January 1995 but had not made a first team appearance before he moved to Dundee United in March 1999. The right back made nineteen league appearances for the Scottish club before moving to Plymouth Argyle and went on to make over 150 league and cup appearances for the Home Park club during a successful spell in which they gained promotion twice. In May 2005, Worrell's contract was not renewed and he subsequently signed for Rotherham in July. At the end of the 2006–07 season, Worrell was released following Rotherham's relegation from League One, before Dundee announced his signature. Scottish League Two
The Scottish League Two, known as cinch League Two for sponsorship reasons, is the fourth tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, the league competition for men's professional football clubs in Scotland. The Scottish League Two was established in July 2013, after the Scottish Professional Football League was formed by a merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Since the 2014–15 season, the bottom team has entered a play-off against the winner of a play-off between the winners of the Highland and Lowland Leagues for a place in the following season's competition. A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines. Procedure The ball is placed on the penalty mark, regardless of where in the penalty area the foul occurred. The player taking the kick must be identified to the referee.
