Chris Frey
Chris Frey Jr. (born June 23, 1995) is a professional American football linebacker. He has been a member of the Carolina Panthers, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and New Orleans Breakers. College career Frey played college football for the Michigan State Spartans from 2014 to 2017. He played in 52 games where he had 193 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, and five fumble recoveries. College statistics Professional career Carolina Panthers Frey signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2018. However, he was released with the final cuts following training camp on September 1, 2018. Hamilton Tiger-Cats Frey signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on January 24, 2019. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). 2016 Michigan State Spartans Football Season
The 2016 Michigan State Spartans football team represented Michigan State University during the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Spartans played in the East Division of the Big Ten Conference and played their home games at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. They were led by head coach Mark Dantonio, who was in his tenth season. They finished the season 3–9, 1–8 in Big Ten play to finish in sixth place in the East Division. The season marked a major disappointment for the Spartans as it was their first losing season under Dantonio and the school's first losing season since 2006. United States Football League (2022)
The United States Football League (USFL) is a professional American football minor league that began play on April 16, 2022. The inaugural 2022 regular season was played in its entirety in Birmingham, Alabama. The postseason games were played in Canton, Ohio, at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. The league is currently owned by National Spring Football League Enterprises Co, LLC, a joint venture between founder Brian Woods and Fox Corporation's sports unit, Fox Sports in the United States. The 108th Grey Cup decided the Canadian Football League (CFL) championship for the 2021 season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 season was cancelled and the start of the 2021 season was delayed, pushing the game to December 12, 2021. The 108th Grey Cup was a rematch of the 107th Grey Cup in 2019 between the defending Grey Cup and West Division champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the East Division champion Hamilton Tiger-Cats, at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario. The 107th Grey Cup decided the champion of the 2019 season in the Canadian Football League (CFL). 2020 CFL Season
The 2020 CFL season would have been the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it would have been the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. It was originally scheduled to begin on June 11; on April 7, the start of the season was delayed to begin no sooner than July due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada.
