Chris Bailey (musician, Born 1956)
Christopher James Mannix Bailey (29 November 1956 – 9 April 2022) was an Australian singer, songwriter, musician and producer. He was the co-founder and singer of rock band the Saints. Early life Bailey was born in Nanyuki, Colony of Kenya to Irish parents. He grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, until the age of seven, when his family migrated to Australia. His family settled in Inala in Brisbane, Queensland. He and his sister Margaret attended Inala State High School, Oxley State High School and Corinda State High School, where Ed Kuepper and Ivor Hay were also students. Career Bailey, Kuepper and Hay formed the band, The Saints in 1973. Their first significant success was in the UK with the classic punk anthem " (I'm) Stranded". Peter Wilkinson (drummer)
Peter Wilkinson is an Australian drummer who was a member of the rock band, The Saints. Wilkinson joined the group in 1999, and appeared first on the 2001 album '' Spit the Blues Out'' and, later, on '' Nothing is Straight in My House (2005) and ''Imperious Delirium'' (2006). Wilkinson then joined The Saints band mate, Chris Bailey on a detour with French band H-Burns, to form Bailey Burns. They recorded the album ''Stranger'', released 2011, and proceeded to tour in France. The Saints album ''King of the Sun'', released in 2013, was recorded in Trackdown studios, Sydney, again with Wilkinson behind the drums. Brian Timothy Finn (born 25 June 1952) is a New Zealand singer and musician. Napolitano; September 22, 1957) is an American singer, songwriter and bassist best known as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and bassist for the alternative rock group Concrete Blonde. Nick Seymour
Nicholas More Seymour (born 9 December 1958) is an Australian musician and record producer. He is the founding bass guitarist and a mainstay of the rock group Crowded House, and is the younger brother of Mark Seymour, singer-songwriter-guitarist in the rock band Hunters and Collectors. Biography Nicholas Seymour has two older sisters, Hilary and Helen, and an older brother, Mark (born 1956). His mother encouraged all four children to learn musical instruments and sing. Paul Hester
Paul Newell Hester (8 January 1959 – 26 March 2005) was an Australian musician and television personality. He was the drummer for the band Split Enz for a short time in 1984, and co-founding member and drummer of the rock group Crowded House. Early years Hester was the older of two children (his younger sister is Carolyn) from Melbourne, Australia born to a bushman father and jazz drummer mother. At an early age he was encouraged by his mother to play drums. His extrovert personality did not impress his teachers, and he left school early and attempted various jobs before starting a musical career. The Easybeats
The Easybeats were an Australian rock band that formed in Sydney in late 1964. They enjoyed a level of success that in Australia rivalled The Beatles. They became the first Australian rock act to score an international hit, with the 1966 single " Friday on My Mind", as well as one of the few in Australia to foreground their original material. "(I'm) Stranded" is the debut single released by Australian punk rock band the Saints. Issued in September 1976, it has been cited as "one of the iconic singles of the era", and pre-dated vinyl debuts by contemporary punk acts such as the Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, The Damned and The Clash. In 2001, it was voted among the Top 30 Australian Songs of all time by APRA. Written by guitarist Ed Kuepper and vocalist Chris Bailey, the single was originally released on the band's own Fatal Records label, with an initial pressing of 500 copies. Edmund "Ed" Kuepper (born 20 December 1955) is a German-born Australian guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. He co-founded the punk band The Saints (1973–78), the experimental post-punk group Laughing Clowns (1979–85) and the grunge-like The Aints! (1991–94, 2017–present). He has also recorded over a dozen albums as a solo artist using a variety of backing bands.
