Christian Oliver Ivan Glanzmann (born 26 May 1975) is a Swiss musician, singer, songwriter and record producer, best known as the male lead vocalist of Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie. ''Helvetios'' is the fifth studio album by Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie. The album was released 10 February 2012 through Nuclear Blast. The CD was recorded at New Sound Studio in Pfäffikon, a municipality in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland, with producer Tommy Vetterli. It was the last album to include violinist Meri Tadić and guitarist Simeon Koch. Concept Being the band's first concept album, it focuses on the Gallic Wars from a perspective of the ancient Helvetians. Style The album features melodic death metal combined with Celtic folk music instruments like fiddle, hurdy-gurdy, flutes, whistles, bagpipes, mandola, bodhran, and hammered dulcimer. ''Everything Remains (As It Never Was)'' is the fourth studio album by Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie. The album was produced by Colin Richardson, and released on 19 February 2010 through Nuclear Blast. The album spawned one single, "Thousandfold", which has gained over 14,600,000 views on YouTube. Sound Unlike Eluveitie's previous release '' Evocation I: The Arcane Dominion'' which was primarily a folk rock/ acoustic folk album, Everything Remains returns to the band's roots and is a straight folk metal album. Reception Everything Remains generally received highly positive reviews. Pascal Stieler, writing for Metal1.info wrote that Everything Remains was "in all matters outstanding, varied album that simply has no weaknesses" and gave the album 9/10. Reception Slania has received very positive reviews from both critics and the fanbase. Electric or electro-acoustic bagpipes refers to any set of bagpipes designed to use a Pickup (music technology), pickup to detect the mechanical vibrations of the reed or reeds. As with an electric guitar, the detected electrical signal is then routed to an amplifier, and from there to a loudspeaker. Depending on the volume of the amplified sound, the unamplified acoustic sound of the bagpipe will also be heard to some extent alongside it.
