''Chosen of the Gods'' is a fantasy novel set in the ''Dragonlance'' campaign series, and is the first of a trilogy about the Kingpriest of Istar, Beldinas Pilofiro. Plot introduction ''Chosen of the Gods'' is set in Istar during the reign of Symeon IV, Kurnos the Usurper, and Beldinas Pilofiro. Plot summary Cathan is called back to his house to discover that his brother has died of the Longosai, a plague, and that he and Wentha are the only remaining members of their clan. Having prayed to Paladine every day to heal his brother, he rips down the symbol of Paladine from the wall of their house, since Paladine didn't answer his requests. Having no family left except for his sister, Wentha, he joins some bandits led by Baron Tavarre. Baron Tavarre gained an intense hate of clerists after a loved member of his family died, because the clerists in Istar wouldn't help him. Chris Pierson
Chris Pierson is an American computer game designer as well as an author of several books in the ''Dragonlance'' saga. He has written many books for the series. Career Chris Pierson was born in Canada. Chris first wanted to write novels for the ''Dragonlance'' saga at the age of 12, which is when he first picked up a copy of a ''Dragonlance'' book. He finished his first novel at 16, which he describes as dreadful. He received his big break when Margaret Weis (one of the most prestigious authors in the ''Dragonlance'' series) sent out an open call for submissions to an online site. The submissions, if accepted, would be used in an anthology of sorts. Chris had his first story accepted. At the 1997 Gen Con game fair, TSR approached him about writing books for the Dragonlance series. He wrote the Kingpriest Trilogy and the Taladas Trilogy. ''Dragonlance'' is a shared universe created by Laura and Tracy Hickman, and expanded by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis under the direction of TSR, Inc. into a series of fantasy novels. Divine Hammer is a fantasy novel set in the '' Dragonlance'' campaign series and is the second of a trilogy about a Kingpriest of Istar, Beldinas Pilofiro, and is set during his reign of Istar. Plot summary The book begins with Nusendaran (Andras's master), and Andras going into a village to sacrifice a black sheep. However, the Divine Hammer ambush them, and they manage to kill Nusendaran, and are aiming for him next. Suddenly, Andras is teleported away by Fistandantilus. They watch Nusendaran burnt at the stake, so Andras desires revenge against the Kingpriest and his forces. Just then, Fistandantilus offers Andras a choice to become his student. He agrees.
