Chinoy (musician)
Mauricio Castillo Moya (born 1982), known as Chinoy, is a Chilean singer-songwriter who has released two solo albums. Chinoy's androgynous voice, lyrics, poetics and iconic guitar technique have been compared to those of Bob Dylan by the Chilean media and his style has been described as trova, indie folk and folk punk. Early life Chinoy was born in San Antonio, a commune of ValparaÃso, Chile, where he founded the punk band Don Nadie and opened for the Argentine punk band Loquero in 2005. Loquero then invited him to spend a season in La Plata, Argentina. In 2007, he moved to Valparaiso where he studied for a short time and performed in local bars. It was there that Manuel GarcÃa saw him perform and invited Chinoy to open for him in Valparaiso and Santiago. San Antonio, Chile
San Antonio is a Chilean port city, commune and the capital of the San Antonio Province in the ValparaÃso Region. In the twenty-first century San Antonio has surpassed ValparaÃso in freight volume handled, becoming the main freight port of Chile. This has led to the challenging of ValparaÃso's traditional moniker ''Puerto Principal'' ("Main Port" of Chile). Puerto Montt
Puerto Montt (Mapuche: Meli Pulli) is a port city and commune in southern Chile, located at the northern end of the Reloncavà Sound in the Llanquihue Province, Los Lagos Region, 1,055 km to the south of the capital, Santiago. The commune spans an area of and has a population of 245,902 in 2017. Chillán
Chillán () is the capital city of the Ñuble Region in the DiguillÃn Province of Chile located about south of the country's capital, Santiago, near the geographical center of the country. It is the capital of the new Ñuble Region since 6 September 2015. Within the city are a railway station, an inter-city bus terminal, an agricultural extension of the University of Concepción, and a regimental military base. Andrés Wood
Andrés Wood Montt (born 14 September 1965) is a Chilean film director, producer and writer. Some of his most popular films include ''Machuca'', '' Violeta se fue a los cielos'', and ''Historias de Futbol''. He created his own production company known as Wood Producciones in 1993.
