Chinese Taipei Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The Chinese Taipei national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of the Taiwan, Republic of China (Taiwan). The team is controlled by the Chinese Taipei Ice Hockey Federation and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Chinese Taipei is currently ranked 46th in the IIHF World Ranking and competes in the IIHF World Championship Division III. History Chinese Taipei has only been active in 1987, 2005, 2008 and 2010. In 1987, they competed unofficially in the 1987 World Ice Hockey Championships#World Championship Group D (Australia), World Championship Pool D in Perth, Australia where their best result was a 2–2 draw against Hong Kong men's national ice hockey team, Hong Kong. Sofia

Nagoya Resolution
The Republic of China (ROC) took part in the opening ceremony of the 1924 Summer Olympics, but its four athletes, all of whom were tennis players, withdrew from competition. The ROC participated in its first Olympic Games in 1932 under the name of China. After the World War II, the ROC competed at the 1948 Summer Olympics. The ROC delegation at the 1948 Summer Games is the only ROC delegation composed of athletes from both mainland China and island of Taiwan in Olympic history. In 1932 and 1936, athletes from Taiwan competed as part of the team of Japan. After the Chinese Civil War, the ROC retreated to the island of Taiwan in 1949 and People's Republic of China (PRC) established in the mainland China. A number of IOC actions enabled the IOC to include both the PRC and the ROC in Olympic activities. Thailand Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The Thailand national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Thailand. The team is controlled by the Ice Hockey Association of Thailand and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. Thailand is currently ranked at fifty-first in the IIHF World Rankings and have been entered in the World Championship tournaments since 2019 but have not yet participated at any Olympic Games. They have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia. The first official hockey league in Thailand, the Bangkok Ice Hockey league (BIHL) was founded in 2014. The majority of the practices and games for the handful of teams in the BIHL are held at the two rinks inside of Central Rama 9 and Imperial World in Samrong, two of Bangkok's popular shopping malls. The Hong Kong national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Hong Kong and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Hong Kong is currently ranked 47th in the IIHF World Rankings and competes in Division III of the IIHF World Championships. History The Hong Kong Ice Hockey Association (HKIHA) was founded on 8 August 1980. Hong Kong joined the IIHF on 31 March 1983, and made its debut in the world championship at Pool D in Perth, Australia in 1987. Hong Kong tied Chinese Taipei, 2–2 in its first international game on 13 March 1987 and went on to win the Fair Play Cup at the world tournament. 1987 World Ice Hockey Championships
The 1987 Ice Hockey World Championships was the 52nd such event hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation. It was also the 63rd European Championships. Teams representing 28 countries participated in four levels of competition. In the Division A Championship held 17 April to 3 May in Vienna, Austria, each team played each other once in the preliminary round. The four best placed teams then played each other once in a championship round and, unlike the relegation round, the first round of results were not counted. Sweden won the gold medal for the fourth time and the Soviet Union won their 25th European title. In the European Championships, only the games of the first round between European teams counted. "Chinese Taipei" is the term used in various international organizations and tournaments for groups or delegations representing the Republic of China (ROC), a country commonly known as Taiwan. Due to the One-China principle stipulated by the People's Republic of China (PRC, China), Taiwan, being a non- UN member after its expulsion in 1971 with ongoing dispute of its sovereignty, was prohibited from using or displaying any of its national symbols such as national name, anthem and flag that would represent the statehood of Taiwan at international events. IIHF World Championship Division III
The IIHF World Championship Division III are an annual sports event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It was the lowest level of the IIHF World Championships until the formation of Division IV for 2020. Organization When the IIHF reorganized its World Championships hierarchy in 2001, which included replacing "pools" with "divisions", nations outside of the top 40 were placed in Division II Qualification, trying to qualify for participation in the following year's Division II championship. The IIHF World Ranking is a ranking of the performance of the national ice hockey teams of member countries of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It is based on a formula giving points for each team's placings at IIHF-sanctioned tournaments over the previous four years. The ranking is used to determine seedings and qualification requirements for future IIHF tournaments. The current leader in rankings is Finland in men's play and Canada in women's play.
