David Pisoni
David Gregory Pisoni (born 1963) is a South Australian politician. He has been a member of the South Australian House of Assembly since 2006, representing the electorate of Unley for the South Australian Division of the Liberal Party of Australia. Pisoni served as the Minister for Industry and Skills (later Innovation and Skills) in the Marshall Ministry between March 2018 and March 2022. Early life Pisoni was born in Elizabeth, and attended St. Augustine's Primary School and Salisbury High School. He subsequently completed an apprenticeship in a furniture manufacturing business. At the age of 21 he went on to found his own business, manufacturing and retailing fine furniture and training 20 apprentices of his own as the business grew from a back yard operation. The South Australian Science Council is a body which provides high level, independent science policy advice to the Government of South Australia and to the Chief Scientist of South Australia. It also oversees the implementation of the state's ''Investing in Science'' action plan. Prior to June 2015 the council was known as the Premier's Science and Industry Council, and prior to that, the Premier's Science and Research Council. The council was established during the first term of the Rann government in June 2002 "to advise the government on strategies for boosting local science and research capabilities and improving levels of innovation." Ian Chessell
Ian Chessell is an Australian physicist. He was Chief Defence Scientist of Australia from 2000 to 2003. He was appointed as Chief Scientist of South Australia in March 2008, and served in that capacity until 2010. He was a director of Astronomy Australia Limited from 2010 until the 2016 AGM. In 2015, he was also a member of the Defence South Australia Advisory Board, the Board of QinetiQ Pty Ltd and is Chair of the Goyder Institute for Water Research. Chessell studied at the University of Melbourne, completing his Ph.D. in Physics studying radio transmission of the lower ionosphere in 1970. He commenced work at the Defence Science and Technology Group on completion of his Ph.D., eventually rising to head the organisation as Chief Defence Scientist from 2000 to 2003. Isabella Caroline McMillen, (born 23 September 1954) is an Australian medical and health academic and the incumbent Chief Scientist of South Australia since October 2018.
