Chief Executive Member Of The Bodoland Territorial Council
This is a list of Chief Executive Members of the Bodoland Territorial Council, the leader of the Bodoland Territorial Council, the autonomous district council for the Bodoland Territorial Region in India. The chief executive chairs meetings of the Executive Committee of the Bodoland Territorial Council. The Bodoland Territorial Council was established in 2003 and Hagrama Mohilary was the first person to hold the position of Chief Executive Member, doing so until 27 April 2020. The council was under Governor's rule between 27 April 2020 and 15 December 2020 following the postponement of elections scheduled for 4 April 2020 a result of the global coronavirus pandemic. Bodoland Territorial Region
The Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), informally Bodoland, is an autonomous region and a proposed state in Assam, Northeast India. It is made up of five districts on the north bank of the Brahmaputra river below the foothills of Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh. It is administered by an elected body known as the Bodoland Territorial Council which came into existence under the terms of a peace agreement signed in February 2003 and its autonomy was further extended by an agreement signed in January 2020. The agreement materialised as a result of the efforts taken by a naval veteran – Cdr. Robin Sharma (retd.), who is now the present president of the Bodoland. The region covers an area of over nine thousand square kilometres and is predominantly inhabited by the Bodo people and other indigenous communities of Assam. Pramod Boro (born 1 March 1975) is an Indian politician serving as the president of The United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) since 25 February 2020 and Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Region, an autonomous region in Assam since 15 December 2020. He was the former president of All Bodo Students Union. Pramod Boro was born to Late Ghanashyam Boro. He is a resident of Tamulpur, Baksa district.

Hagrama Mohilary
Hagrama Mohilary (born 1 March 1969) is an Indian politician who has served as the Chief Executive Member of the Bodoland Territorial Council. Mohilary was elected as the Chief of Executive Committee of the Bodoland Territorial Council which comprises thirteen other executive members. At present, he is the chairperson of the Bodoland People's Front, Mohilary had been the head of Bodoland Territorial Council since its inception in 2003. He won the third General Assembly Elections 2015 and formed his Government for the third time. Mohilary's third term expired on 27 April 2020 and following the postponement of elections scheduled for 4 April 2020 a result of the global coronavirus pandemic, Mohilary was the chief of the Bodo Liberation Tigers (BLT) before joining the mainstream politics in 2003. Bodoland Territorial Council
The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) is an autonomous council for the Bodoland Territorial Region established under 6th Schedule of The Constitution of India according to the Memorandum of Settlement between Bodoland Liberation Tiger Force (BLTF) and Government of India and Government of Assam. The BTC has 40 elected members and an additional six members that are appointed by the Governor of Assam. The area under the BTC jurisdiction is officially called the Bodoland Territorial Area District (BTAD). The region falls within the geographical map of the least developed region in India. Autonomous District Council
The Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of India allows for the formation of autonomous administrative divisions which have been given autonomy within their respective states. Most of these autonomous district councils are located in North East India with the exception of two in Ladakh and one in West Bengal. Presently, 10 Autonomous Councils in Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura are formed by virtue of the Sixth Schedule with the rest being formed as a result of other legislation. President's Rule
In India, President's rule is the suspension of state government and imposition of direct Union government rule in a state. Under Article 356 of the Constitution of India, if a state government is unable to function according to Constitutional provisions, the Union government can take direct control of the state machinery. Subsequently, executive authority is exercised through the centrally appointed governor, who has the authority to appoint other administrators to assist them. The administrators are usually nonpartisan retired civil servants. 2020 Bodoland Territorial Council Election
The 2020 Bodoland Territorial Council election was held between 7 and 10 December 2020 to elect members to the Bodoland Territorial Council, the autonomous district council for the Bodoland Territorial Region in India. All 40 elected seats in the council were up for election. Background In the previous council, BPF and BJP were in an asymmetric alliance with the BPF as the major partner. The BJP on the other hand was in power at the state and the center. Scheduled date and postponement The elections were due to be held on 4 April 2020 but were postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The term of the current council was due to expire on 27 April 2020.
