A cheta ( sq, çeta; rup, ceatã; bg, чета; gr, τσέτης; ro, ceată; tr, çete; sr, чета / ), in plural chetas, was an armed band organized by the mostly Bulgarian, Serbian, Albanian, Greek, Aromanian and Megleno-Romanian population on the territory of the Ottoman Empire that undertook anti-Ottoman activity. The cheta was usually led by a leader, called voivoda. The members of the chetas were called chetniks. Chaeta
A chaeta or cheta (from Greek χαίτη “crest, mane, flowing hair"; plural: chaetae) is a chitinous bristle or seta found in annelid worms, (although the term is also frequently used to describe similar structures in other invertebrates such as arthropods). Polychaete annelids, ('polychaeta' literally meaning "many bristles") are named for their chaetae. In Polychaeta, chaetae are found as bundles on the parapodia, paired appendages on the side of the body. The chaetae are epidermal extracellular structures, and clearly visible in most polychaetes. They are probably the best studied structures in these animals. Use in taxonomy and identification The ultrastructure of chaetae is fundamentally similar for all taxa but there is vast diversity in chaetal morphology. Cheta (woreda)
Cheta is a district in the South West Region of Ethiopia. This district has its origins in the province Chetta of the former Kingdom of Kaffa. Part of the Keffa Zone, Cheta is bordered on the west by Decha, on the north by Telo, and on the east by the Konta special district. Towns in Cheta include Shama. Cheta was separated from the Telo district. Demographics Based on the 2007 Census conducted by the CSA, this district has a total population of 32,619, of whom 15,870 are men and 16,749 women; 1,467 or 4.5% of its population are urban dwellers. Cheta is a village in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district of Punjab State, India. It is located away from Banga, from Phagwara, from district headquarter Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and from state capital Chandigarh. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village. Cheta Emba (born July 16, 1993) is an American rugby union player. Biography Emba attended Maggie L. Walker Governor's School, she was a goalkeeper on the soccer team and a forward on the basketball team. She played soccer and began her rugby career in her junior year at Harvard University where she majored in molecular cellular biology with a minor in Spanish. In her senior year she was selected for the Eagles squad to the 2015 Women's Rugby Super Series in Canada. Chetachi "Cheta" Ozougwu (born November 18, 1988) is a former American football linebacker. He played college football at Rice and was drafted with the final pick of the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, his hometown team. He has also played for the New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears. Early life Ozougwu graduated from Alief Taylor High School. The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a free-trade agreement between Canada and the European Union and its member states. It has been provisionally applied, thus removing 98% of the preexisting tariffs between the two parts. The negotiations were concluded in August 2014. All 27 European Union member states and former member state United Kingdom approved the final text of CETA for signature, with Belgium being the final country to give its approval. Cheeta (sometimes billed as Cheetah, Cheta, and Chita) is a chimpanzee character that appeared in numerous Hollywood Tarzan films of the 1930s–1960s, as well as the 1966–1968 television series, as the ape sidekick of the title character, Tarzan. Cheeta has usually been characterized as male, but sometimes as female, and has been portrayed by chimpanzees of both sexes. While the character of Cheeta is inextricably associated in the public mind with Tarzan, no chimpanzees appear in the original Tarzan novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs that inspired the films. The closest analog to Cheeta in the Burroughs novels is Tarzan's monkey companion Nkima, which appears in several of the later books in the series.
