Cheryl Machat Dorskind
Cheryl Machat Dorskind (born 1955) is an American fine-art photographer, writer, and educator who lives and works in Westhampton, New York. Background and education Born in 1955, Machat Dorskind grew up in Roslyn Harbor, New York and graduated from Roslyn High School in 1973. She attended Washington University in St. Louis for the first year and a half of her college studies and graduated, cum laude, in June 1977 from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. From 1978 to 1982, she was a Product Manager for Epic, Portrait, & The Associated Labels (then part of CBS, Inc. and now under the Sony Music umbrella) in New York City where she managed Pop music and R&B legends that included Dan Hartman, Karla DeVito, Patti LaBelle, The O'Jays, and Billy Ocean. While there she received two Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified gold records in recognition of her important contribution to music marketing. Roslyn Harbor is a village in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. It is considered part of the Greater Roslyn area, which is anchored by the Incorporated Village of Roslyn. The population was 1,051 at the 2010 census. Tinted photograph is a photograph produced on dyed printing papers produced by commercial manufacturers or a hand-colored photograph. A single overall colour underlies the images printed on dyed photographic papers and is most apparent in the highlights and mid-tones. From the 1870s albumen printing papers were available in pale pink or blue and from the 1890s gelatin silver printing-out papers in pale mauve or pink were available. There were other kinds of tinted papers. Over time such colouration often becomes very faded.The paper is also used to highlight the important thing or part on it.
