Chemotherapy (often abbreviated to chemo and sometimes CTX or CTx) is a type of cancer treatment that uses one or more anti-cancer drugs (chemotherapeutic agents or alkylating agents) as part of a standardized chemotherapy regimen. Chemotherapy may be given with a curative intent (which almost always involves combinations of drugs) or it may aim to prolong life or to reduce symptoms ( palliative chemotherapy). Chemotherapy is one of the major categories of the medical discipline specifically devoted to pharmacotherapy for cancer, which is called ''medical oncology''. The term ''chemotherapy'' has come to connote non-specific usage of intracellular poisons to inhibit mitosis (cell division) or induce DNA damage, which is why inhibition of DNA repair can augment chemotherapy. David L. G. Webb, formerly known as Chemo and formally called Dangerous Dave, and now is known as Forest DLG is an English music producer and DJ. He has also released several albums under the pseudonym ‘Telemachus’. As a sound engineer he has worked at the forefront of the British Hip Hop scene, acting as chief engineer for YNR Productions and High Focus Records. Chemo was recognised by the Guardian newspaper as a man who “has helped British music move along more than most people will ever know”. Career 2004 – 2011 Named after a fictional DC Comics supervillain, Chemo first started as a producer and DJ for London Hip Hop group 'Frontline'. José Ramón "Chemo" Soto Rivera (December 17, 1943 – December 27, 2021) was a Puerto Rican politician who was the mayor of Canóvanas from 1993 to 2014, Puerto Rico and a member of the New Progressive Party. Early years and work Soto was born in Loíza, Puerto Rico to Ramón Soto Segarra and Rosa Rivera Carrión. He was the sixth of eleven children born to the couple. Soto began his studies at the Cambalache elementary school, and then attended the Eugenio María de Hostos Junior High School and Andrés Flores López High School in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico. Soto served with the United States Army in the Vietnam War. After his military service, he became a police officer in the Puerto Rico Police Department. Trevor George Smith Jr. (born May 20, 1972), known professionally as Busta Rhymes, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. Chuck D of Public Enemy gave him the moniker Busta Rhymes, after NFL and CFL wide receiver George "Buster" Rhymes. Chemo is a supervillain appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Debuting in the Silver Age of Comic Books, the character has appeared in both comic books and other DC Comics-related products such as animated television series and trading cards. Publication history The character first appeared in '' Showcase'' #39 (July–August 1962) and was created by writer Robert Kanigher and artists Ross Andru and Mike Esposito.
