Cheers (season 9)
The ninth season of ''Cheers'', an American television sitcom, originally aired on NBC in the United States between September 20, 1990, and May 3, 1991. The show was created by director James Burrows and writers Glen and Les Charles under production team Charles Burrows Charles Productions, in association with Paramount Television. Background ''Cheers'' is a sitcom that started in 1982. Though it experienced early low ratings, the show became a part of mainstream culture. The sitcom is set in a Boston bar originally owned by Sam Malone, a retired baseball pitcher, but Sam sells the bar at the start of Season 6. Waitress Carla Tortelli, bartender Woody Boyd and manager Rebecca Howe, work at the bar and serve regular patrons Norm Peterson, Cliff Clavin and Frasier Crane. Ted Danson
Edward Bridge "Ted" Danson III (born December 29, 1947) is an American actor. He achieved stardom playing the lead character Sam Malone on the NBC sitcom ''Cheers'', for which he received two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. He was nominated for more Emmy Awards for roles in the legal drama ''Damages (TV series), Damages'' (2007-2010) and the NBC sitcom ''The Good Place'' (2016-2020). He was awarded a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame and was ranked second in ''TV Guide''s list of the top 25 television stars. Danson's made his film debut in 1978 in the crime drama ''The Onion Field (film), The Onion Field''. His breakout role was as Jack Holden in the films ''Three Men and a Baby'' (1987) and ''Three Men and a Little Lady'' (1990). Cliff Clavin
Clifford C. Clavin, Jr. (born 1947 or 1949) is a fictional character on the American television show '' Cheers'' played by John Ratzenberger. A postal worker, he is the bar's know-it-all and was a contestant on the game show ''Jeopardy!'' Cliff was not originally scripted in the series' pilot episode, " Give Me a Ring Sometime", but the producers decided to add a know-it-all character and Ratzenberger helped flesh it out. The actor made guest appearances as Cliff on ''The Tortellis'', '' St. Elsewhere'', ''Wings'', and ''Frasier''. Kevin McHale (basketball)
Kevin Edward McHale (born December 19, 1957) is an American former professional basketball player, coach and analyst who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee and is regarded as one of the greatest Power forward (basketball), power forwards of all time. After a high school career in which he was named Minnesota Mr. Basketball, he attended the University of Minnesota, where he was named to two first-team All Conference teams and set many team records that still stand today. Robert Christopher "Phoef" Sutton (born September 11, 1958) is an American writer and producer. His film credits include ''Mrs. Winterbourne'' and '' The Fan'', both released in 1996. Phoef — the first name that he uses both personally and professionally — is pronounced "feef", and was a childhood nickname given to him in infancy by his brothers. Jackie Swanson (born June 25, 1963) is an American actress. She is best known for her role on the American sitcom ''Cheers'' as Kelly Gaines the rich, simple love interest of Woody Boyd and as Amanda Hunsaker in the first Lethal Weapon movie. Lilith Sternin
Lilith Sternin (formerly Sternin-Crane) is a fictional character on the American television sitcoms ''Cheers'' and ''Frasier'', portrayed by Bebe Neuwirth. The character first appears as a date for Frasier Crane, though mutual hostility and discomfort causes the evening to end badly.
