''Checkmate'' (german: Schachmatt) is a 1931 German drama film directed by Georg Asagaroff and starring Gerda Maurus, Hans Rehmann, and Trude Berliner Trude Berliner (28 February 1903 – 26 February 1977) was a German actress.
