Charles Wright (gridiron Football)
Charles James Wright (born April 5, 1964) is a former American football defensive back who played two seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the tenth round of the 1987 NFL Draft. He first enrolled at Highland Community College before transferring to Fort Scott Community College and lastly the University of Tulsa. Wright attended Carthage Senior High School in Carthage, Missouri. He was also a member of the Ottawa Rough Riders, Edmonton Eskimos, Memphis Pharaohs and San Jose SaberCats The San Jose SaberCats were a professional arena football team based in San Jose, California. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. Felix Carl Wright (born June 22, 1959), is a former professional American football player who played defensive back from 1985–1992 for the Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League. Undrafted out of Drake University, Wright played from 1982–84 in the Canadian Football League with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, earning Eastern Division All-Star honors in his last two seasons.
