Louis Warynski (born 6 January 1984), better known by his stage name Chapelier Fou (Mad Hatter) is a French electronic musician from Metz. Since 2008, he has released five EPs and nine studio albums, all through the independent record label Ici, d'ailleurs... Life and career Louis Warynski was born on 6 January 1984, in the French city of Metz. He entered the local conservatory at the age of six and went on to learn multiple instruments, including the violin and harpsichord. After graduating from high school, Warynski obtained a master's degree in musicology. He began working with electronic music, sampled lines by Lewis Carroll's Mad Hatter, and adopted the moniker as his stage name. In 2008, Chapelier Fou performed at Printemps de Bourges, in the "Electro Discoveries" section. Sziget Festival
The Sziget Festival ( hu, Sziget Fesztivál, ; "Sziget" for "Island") is one of the largest Music festival, music and cultural festivals in Europe. It is held every August in northern Budapest, Hungary, on Óbuda Island, Óbudai-sziget ("Old Buda Island"), a leafy 108-hectare (266-acre) island on the Danube. WOMAD ( ; World of Music, Arts and Dance) is an international arts festival. The central aim of WOMAD is to celebrate the world's many forms of music, arts and dance. Celtic Connections
The Celtic Connections festival started in 1994 in Glasgow, Scotland, and has since been held every January. Featuring over 300 concerts, ceilidhs, talks, free events, late night sessions and workshops, the festival focuses on the roots of traditional Scottish music and also features international folk, roots and world music artists. The festival is produced and promoted by Glasgow Life. Donald Shaw, a founding member of Capercaillie, was appointed Celtic Connections Artistic Director in 2006. Les Francofolies () are an annual music festival founded in 1985 in La Rochelle, Poitou-Charentes, France as an initiative of Jean-Louis Foulquier. It is usually held annually in July and aims at promoting French-language music. Number of those attending the festival has exceeded 160,000 in 2007.
