Chapeauroux Station
The Chapeauroux () is a long river in the Lozère and Haute-Loire '' départements'', south-central France. Its source is near Estables, in the Margeride. It flows generally northeast. It is a left tributary of the Allier into which it flows between Saint-Bonnet-de-Montauroux and Saint-Christophe-d'Allier. The Allier ( , , ; oc, Alèir) is a river in central France. It is a left tributary of the Loire. Its source is in the Massif Central, in the Lozère department, east of Mende. It flows generally north. It joins the Loire west of the city of Nevers. It is long, and has a drainage basin of . Châteauneuf-de-Randon
Châteauneuf-de-Randon (; oc, Chastèlnòu de Randon) is a village and commune in the Lozère department in southern France. History The battle of Châteauneuf-de-Randon was fought in 1380 between the English and the French. In 1380 the fortress of Châteauneuf-de-Randon was besieged by the French, under the command of Bertrand du Guesclin, and the fortress was defended by an English garrison under De Ros. The town surrendered on the 4th of July. The siege, however, was fatal to the French commander.
