''Chanti'' is a 1992 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty. The film stars Venkatesh, Meena with music composed by Illayaraja. The film was produced by K. S. Rama Rao on Creative Commercials banner. The film is a remake of the 1991 Tamil film ''Chinna Thambi''. The make-up artist P. Sobhalatha received Nandi Award for the film. The film was recorded as a "Industry Hit" at the box office. The film was the first film to cross 100 days in more than 40 direct centers that was an industry record at that time. It won four Nandi Awards. Plot The story begins starts with the birth of a baby girl, Nandini, in the world of feudal landlords (''Zamindars'') whose word is a law for the villagers who work on their land. Ravi Raja Pinisetty
Ravi Raja Pinisetty is an Indian film director known for his works in the Telugu cinema with actors such as Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Mohan Babu, Rajasekhar (actor), Rajasekhar and Daggubati Venkatesh. Some of his major hits include ''Yamudiki Mogudu (1988 film), Yamudiki Mogudu'' with Chiranjeevi, ''Pedarayudu'' with Mohan Babu, ''Bangaru Bullodu (1993 film), Bangaru Bullodu'' with Nandamuri Balakrishna and ''Chanti (1992 film), Chanti'' with Venkatesh. Most of his directorial ventures are remakes. He has directed about 40 films so far. Family Ravi Raja Pinisetty has two sons. Allu Ramalingaiah
Allu Ramalingaiah (1 October 1922 – 31 July 2004) was an Indian character actor, comedian, and producer known for his works in Telugu cinema. In 1990, He was honoured with the Padma Shri for his contribution to Indian cinema. In 1998, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award - South, and the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 2001. Ramalingaiah appeared in over 1000 films in a variety of roles. The "Allu Ramalingaiah National Award" was instituted in his memory by the "Allu Ramalingaiah Academy of Arts". Veturi Sundararama Murthy (29 January 1936 – 22 May 2010), known mononymously by his surname Veturi, was an Indian poet, lyricist and journalist who is popular for writing Telugu songs. His career in the Telugu cinema spanned more than four decades. He was highly admired and cherished for his deep and thoughtful lyrics in Telugu songs. Early life Veturi was born to Chandrasekhar Sastry and Kamalamba in Pedakallepalli, near Challapalli, Krishna into a Telugu Brahmin family. ''Chinarayudu'' is a 1992 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by B. Gopal and produced by P. R. Prasad under Datta Sai Films.
