Chandigarh Film City
In 2007, Parsvnath developers had planned developed the Chandigarh film city at Chandigarh with Satish Kaushik as technical advisor. The project has an agreement signed between Chandigarh Tourist Department and Parsvnath Developers. As per the agreement, the Developer will pay 191 Crore for a lease period of 99 years. The film city will have a film studio, multimedia Park, a multimedia entertainment center, a multimedia college and research center. The film city was to have been called Parsvnath Film city. However, disputes between Parsvnath and the Punjab state government, which were contested through the courts, led to the collapse of the deal. Satish Kaushik
Satish Chandra Kaushik (born 13 April 1956) is an Indian actor, director, producer, comedian and screenwriter. Early life Satish was born on 13 April 1956 in Mahendragarh, Haryana. He graduated from Kirori Mal College, Delhi in 1972. He is an alumnus National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India. Career As a film actor, he is noted for his roles as "Calendar" in '' Mr. India,'', as Pappu Pager in ''Deewana Mastana'', and as "Chanu Ahmed" in Sarah Gavron's British film '' Brick Lane'' (2007). Film City or Dadasaheb Phalke Chitra Nagari is an integrated film studio complex situated near Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Goregaon East, Mumbai in India. It has several recording rooms, gardens, lakes, theatres and grounds that serve as the venue of many Bollywood and Marathi films. It was built in 1977 by the state government to provide facilities and concessions to the film industry. The plan for Film City was prepared and executed under the guidance of V. Shantaram. Ramoji Film City is an integrated film studio facility located in Hyderabad, India. Spread over 1,666 acres (674 ha), it is the largest film studio complex in the world and as such has been certified by the Guinness World Records.
