Champions League (video Game)
The UEFA Champions League video game license has been used by four different companies. Debuted in 1996, the series has only had five games published so far, and after being in the hands of Krisalis Software, Silicon Dreams Studio and Konami, the license now lies in the hands of EA. Krisalis (1996–1998) Krisalis Software had a strong history of football video games in the past, and inclusively released ''European Club Soccer'', a game that simulated the old knockout format in 1992. With the official branding, Krisalis worked on a 3D engine, fitted with the ''Tacti-grid'' and gameplay in the line of their older games. It had all 16 teams present in the 1996/1997 Champions League with the actual groups, plus national teams. Only one title was produced, distributed by Philips Media. Krisalis Software
Krisalis Software Limited was a British video game developer and publisher founded by Tony Kavanagh, Peter Harrap, and Shaun Hollingworth in 1987 under the name Teque Software Development Limited as a subsidiary label (beginning in 1988) until the official company name was changed to Krisalis Software in 1991. The company was restructured in April 2001 with a new management team of Tony Kavanagh, Tim James and Simeon Pashley and reused the original name of Teque Software development. Krisalis Software worked on over 60 different computer and console games before permanently closing on 30 November 2001. Along with developing games and conversions themselves, they also provided sound development support for consoles like the Master System, the Game Gear and the Mega Drive through a proprietary Krisalis sound engine created by Shaun Hollingworth and handled by composer Matt Furniss, which was used in many externally developed games for the aforementioned systems. Andy Gray (footballer, Born 1955)
Andrew Mullen Gray (born 30 November 1955) is a Scottish football broadcaster and former player. He played for Dundee United, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton, Aston Villa, Notts County (on loan), West Bromwich Albion, Rangers and Cheltenham Town. He won 20 caps for Scotland. Gray was the lead football pundit for Sky Sports (since it began its broadcast of the Premier League in August 1992) and was the channel's co-commentator for nearly 19 years (often working alongside Martin Tyler) until his dismissal in January 2011, following multiple allegations of sexism. ''Pro Evolution Soccer 2015'' (abbreviated as ''PES 2015'' and known as ''World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2015'' in Japan) is a football simulation game developed by PES Productions and published by Konami for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It is the fourteenth edition of the ''Pro Evolution Soccer'' series. The cover of the game features Mario Götze of Bayern Munich (except for the Japanese version, whose cover art features Keisuke Honda of A.C. Milan). ''Pro Evolution Soccer 2013'' (''PES 2013'', known as ''World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2013'' in Japan and South Korea) is an association football video game, developed and published by Konami. The game was announced by Konami on April 18, 2012. For the first time of the series, all 20 teams from the Brazilian national league, Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, are included in the game series. The UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League features in the game. ''PES 2013'' was the last game in the series available on a Nintendo home console and was succeeded by ''Pro Evolution Soccer 2014''. ''Pro Evolution Soccer 2012'' (''PES 2012'', known as ''World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2012'' in Asia) is a video game which is the eleventh edition in the ''Pro Evolution Soccer'' series developed and published by Konami with production assistance from the Blue Sky Team. Lionel Messi, who was the cover star for the series since ''PES 2009'', was replaced by '' PES 2008'' cover star Cristiano Ronaldo, while Borussia Dortmund player Shinji Kagawa replaces Messi as the cover star for the Japanese release. The US and Latin American cover features Santos player Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo. ''Pro Evolution Soccer 2009'' (''PES 2009'', known as ''World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2009'' in Korea and Japan) is a football video game in the ''Pro Evolution Soccer'' series, which was made by Konami. Lee Michael Dixon (born 17 March 1964) is an English retired professional footballer and pundit who played as a right-back for Arsenal. Dixon was also capped 22 times for England. A childhood Manchester City fan, Dixon began his footballing career as a youth at Burnley, making his professional debut for them in 1982. Derek Rae (born 1967) is a Scottish association football commentator and presenter who currently works for ESPN and ABC in the United States for the English-language coverages of Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, and La Liga and Deutsche Fußball Liga for the English-language world feed. HB Studios Multimedia Limited is a Canadian video game developer based in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. It is best known for its Rugby football, rugby and cricket games. ''UEFA Champions League 2006–2007'' is the official video game of the 2006–07 season of the UEFA Champions League.
