''Challengers'' is a role-playing game published by Ragnarok Enterprises in 1985. Description ''Challengers: Unique Superhero Adventuring'' is a superhero role-playing system based on a simplified version of the ''To Challenge Tomorrow'' rules. There are two books: one consisting of character and combat rules; the second describing a world where superheroes exist, important governmental organizations, sample characters, and six scenario suggestions. ''To Challenge Tomorrow'' is a multi-genre role-playing game published by Ragnarok Enterprises in 1983 that can be adapted to any setting or time period. Reviews were mixed, with some reviewers saying there were some good concepts, while others found too many issues with the rules. Description ''To Challenge Tomorrow'' is a universal system for historical, contemporary, or future settings. The rules are general, using a skill-based system, with skill scores heavily modified by a character's basic statistics. Character generation is done by distributing a pool of points between four main attributes, which then generates a number of secondary characteristics. Players complete the character by adding a number of skills from a long list. Dave Nalle
David F. Nalle (March 19, 1959 – February 13, 2021) was an American political writer, game author and type designer. He was active in the early history of the development of the internet. Nalle was at one time Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus, a group that promotes libertarianism within the Republican Party, Senior Politics Editor at ''Blogcritics'' online magazine, and was the CEO of Scriptorium Fonts. Biography Dave Nalle's parents were American diplomat David Nalle and Margaret Shumaker Nalle. Due to his father's diplomatic postings, Dave Nalle spent his formative years overseas in Syria, Iran, Jordan, England and the Soviet Union and traveled in the Middle East and Central Asia. During this time, he received his primary and middle school education from British and American schools. Role-playing or roleplaying is the changing of one's behaviour to assume a role, either unconsciously to fill a social role, or consciously to act out an adopted role.
