''Chakra Theertha'' is a 1967 Indian Kannada-language film, directed by Peketi Sivaram. The film stars Rajkumar, Udaykumar, Jayanthi and Balakrishna, with musical score by T. G. Lingappa. It is based on the novel of same name by T. R. Subba Rao. The director remade the film in Telugu in 1968 as ''Chuttarikaalu''. Jayanthi (actress)
Kamala Kumari (6 January 1945 – 26 July 2021), known by her mononymous stage name Jayanthi, was an Indian actress known for her work in Kannada cinema and Tamil cinema. She was noted for her contributions to different genres of films from the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s. She had appeared in over 500 films, including films in the Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Marathi languages. She had received seven Karnataka State Film Awards, four times as Best Actress and twice as Best Supporting Actress, the President's Medal for Best Actress and two Filmfare Awards for Best Actress. She has been cited as Kannada cinema's "most bold and beautiful" actress by various media outlets, a title for which she has received substantial publicity. Peketi Sivaram (Telugu: పేకేటి శివరాం) (8 October 1918 – 30 December 2006) was an Indian actor and director.http://www.cinegoer.com/archives/december2006/peketi.htm Life sketch He was born on 8 October 1918 in Pekeru village, East Godavari district in the erstwhile Madras Presidency of British India, present day Andhra Pradesh. Bommasandra Srinivasaiah Suryanarayana Murthy (16 March 1933 – 26 December 1985), known by his screen name Udaykumar, was an Indian actor and producer in Kannada cinema. He, along with Kalyan Kumar and Rajkumar, were called the ''Kumarathrayaru'' (meaning the three Kumars) of Kannada cinema He has authored many dramas and books. Venkataraju known by his professional name Rajanand (1927-2004), was an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry.
