Chakra (trance Duo)
The Space Brothers are a British trance music duo comprising Richard 'Ricky' Louis Simmonds and Stephen Christopher Jones, noted for producing under a variety of pseudonyms such as Chakra, Lustral, Ascension, Essence, Ultra High, Lamai and The Realm. Career Their debut production "Stay with Me" (released as Ultra High) garnered club interest and reached number 36 on the UK Singles Chart in December 1995. Whereas "Stay with Me" epitomised the hardbag sound, their next release "I Am" (as Chakra) was to showcase a darker, ethereal and more progressive trance based sound. "I Am" caught the ears of Sasha and John Digweed (the latter of whom submitted a remix of the track alongside Nick Muir in their Bedrock guise). "I Am" peaked at number 24 on the UK Singles Chart in January 1997. Melakarta
Mēḷakartā is a collection of fundamental musical scales ( ragas) in Carnatic music (South Indian classical music). ''Mēḷakartā'' ragas are parent ragas (hence known as ''janaka'' ragas) from which other ragas may be generated. A ''melakarta'' raga is sometimes referred as ''mela'', ''karta'' or ''sampurna'' as well, though the latter term is inaccurate, as a ''sampurna'' raga need not be a ''melakarta'' (take the raga ''Bhairavi,'' for example). In Hindustani music the ''thaat'' is equivalent of ''Melakartā''. There are 10 ''thaats'' in Hindustani music, though the commonly accepted ''melakarta'' scheme has 72 ragas. Rules for ''Mēḷakarta'' ragas Ragas must contain the following characteristics to be considered ''Melakarta''. *They are ''sampurna ragas'' – they contain all seven ''swaras'' (notes) of the octave in both ascending and descending scale''Ragas in Carnatic music'' by Dr. S. Chakra (JScript Engine)
Chakra is a proprietary JScript engine developed by Microsoft. It is used in the Internet Explorer web browser. Microsoft later developed a new JavaScript engine for its Microsoft Edge browser, which is confusingly also called Chakra. Features A distinctive feature of the engine is that it JIT compiles scripts on a separate CPU core, parallel to the web browser. Though Microsoft has in the past pointed out that other elements, such as rendering and marshalling, are just as important for a browser's overall performance, their improvements to the engine were in response to evolving competing browsers, compared to which IE8 was lagging behind in terms of client-side script processing speed. History SunSpider tests performed on November 18, 2009 showed the PDC version of IE9 executing scripts much faster than IE8, but slower than Firefox 3.6, Chrome 4, and WebKit Nightly. The same test performed on March 15, 2010 showed the first IE9 Platform Preview (using the then-curre ...

Chakra (operating System)
Chakra (officially Chakra GNU/Linux) was a Linux distribution originally based on Arch Linux and focused on KDE software, intending to provide a KDE/ Qt minimizing use of other widget toolkits where possible. It was well received by critics during its existence. History In June 2006 a group of Arch Linux users initiated the KDEmod packaging project to improve and simplify a standard KDE installation with Arch Linux. In December 2008 the group released their first custom made ISO with a preconfigured Arch + KDEmod + Tribe. After several releases lead developer Jan Mette suggested to split from Arch to allow for a much closer integration with KDE software. On August 30, 2010, the first independent version, called ''Chakra 0.2'', was released. This ended the development on KDEmod and the project was renamed to "The Chakra Project". On December 27, 2021, the lead developer of Chakra announced the discontinuation of the project including accounts and services, citing a lack of pro ...

Chakra (chess Variant)
Chakra is a chess variant invented by Christian Freeling in 1980. The uniqueness of Chakra is owed to the invention of a new fairy piece named ''transmitter''. Freeling considered an earlier version of the game as insignificant. "Then one night in the early eighties, Ed an Zonand I dreamed up the 'transmitter', a piece consisting of two parts called 'chakras', that would function as a 'portal' for transmitting pieces." The game was first featured in ''The Gamer'' magazine in 1981 (issue 3), resulting in much interest and the sale of many Chakra sets.Pritchard (2007), p. 173 Chakra is included in ''100 Other Games to Play on a Chessboard'' (1983, 2002) by Stephen Addison. Overview Chakra is played on a standard chessboard and has many of the standard play conventions as in chess, including check and the winning objective, checkmate. Stalemate, as in chess, is a draw. The king in Chakra is named ''emperor''. Each player starts with 16 pieces: 1 emperor, 1 empress, 1 samurai, 1 m ...
