''Chaetodon plebeius'', the blueblotch butterflyfish, bluespot butterflyfish, bluedash butterflyfish or grey-blotched butterflyfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a butterflyfish belonging to the family Chaetodontidae. It is native to the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Description Chaetodon plebeius has a bright yellow body which is marked with a large horizontal, elongated blue patch on the flanks above the midline.
