Ceuthomantis Duellmani
''Ceuthomantis duellmani'' is a species of frog in the family Ceuthomantidae. It is endemic to the Sarisariñama tepui, Bolívar state, in the southeastern Venezuela. It is named in honour of , herpetologist from the University of Kansas. Description The type series consists of three males measuring in snout–vent length. Dorsal skin is areolate to tuberculate and green to brown in colour, without any apparent pattern. Some tubercles on head and body are reddish. Tympanum is distinct. Iris is yellow. Ventral surfaces are grey. Third and fourth fingers and third to fifth toes bear broad, medially notched discs that are characteristic for the genus. Males call during the day on humid days and especially after rains. The trill call might be a synapomorphy of the genus. Cerro Sarisariñama
Cerro Sarisariñama is a tepui, a flat-topped mountain in Jaua-Sarisariñama National Park at the far south-west of Bolívar State, Venezuela, near the border with Brazil. Its altitude range is between and . The name of the mountain originates from the tale of local Ye'kuana Indians about an evil spirit living in caves up in the mountain and devouring human flesh with a sound "Sari... sari...". The tepui is in one of the most remote areas in the country, with the closest road being 35 miles to the northeast. Ceuthomantis
''Ceuthomantis'' is a small genus of craugastorid frogs, also treated as comprising their own monogeneric family Ceuthomantidae. They are found in the southern and eastern parts of the Guiana Highlands in Venezuela, Guyana, and Brazil. The generic name is derived from the Greek noun ''mantis'', which means treefrog, and adjective ''keuthos'', which means hidden, in allusion to the hidden existence of this genus in the tepuis of the Guiana Shield.
