The Centre for Research in Innovation Management (CENTRIM), at University of Brighton, is a multidisciplinary research group that originated in the 1980s. CENTRIM offers a postgraduate student program, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and a range of product and services. Back in 2003 CENTRIM and Science and Technology Policy Research moved to the purpose-built Freeman Centre on the University of Sussex campus. University Of Brighton
The University of Brighton is a public university based on four campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne on the south coast of England. Its roots can be traced back to 1858 when the Brighton School of Art was opened in the Royal Pavilion. It achieved university status in 1992. Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is a partly government-funded programme to encourage collaboration between businesses and universities in the United Kingdom. History KTP was launched in 2003, replacing the Teaching Company Scheme (TCS), which had been formed in 1975. Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) is a research centre based at University of Sussex in Falmer, near Brighton, UK. Brighton Business School
The School of Business and Law is part of the University of Brighton. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and has about 500 full-time students, 1,000 part-time students, and 120 members of academic staff. Bob Sang
Bob Sang (27 March 1948 – 5 June 2009) was appointed by London South Bank University as the UK's first professor of Patient and Public Involvement in 2006. He had also been a visiting fellow at CENTRIM. He was educated at the University of East Anglia but failed his chemistry degree there. He later returned to studying and completed a public administration degree at the University of Sussex. He was a pioneer of the idea of involving patients, service users and the public in health and social care, describing himself as a 'constructive subversive'. Sang was a prolific networker and writer, contributing articles to journals including ''Health Policy Insight'', ''British Journal of Healthcare Management'', the ''Journal of Integrated Care'' and the ''Health Service Journal''.
