The Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, also known as the Martens Centre and previously as the ''Centre for European Studies'', is a think tank and political foundation of the European People's Party (EPP). As the central link of a large network of political foundations, the centre is a catalyst for centre-right ideas and thinking in Europe and beyond. The president of the Martens Centre is former Slovak prime minister Mikuláš Dzurinda. The centre seeks to ‘inspire ideas for action and shape responses to European challenges’. It analyses and contributes to the debate on EU policy, sharing its insights with European policymakers and the wider public. It also promotes numerous activities surrounding the discussion on the Future of Europe. Political Foundation At European Level
A European political foundation, formally a political foundation at European level, informally a Eurofoundation, is a research and advocacy organization close to, but independent from a Europarty. They are funded by the European Parliament. Their purpose is to act as platforms aiming at developing forward-looking ideas and concepts for their respective political family and providing a forum where those ideas can be widely debated. The Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) was a non-profit program at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that operated from 1989 to 2021. TTCSP was originally established at the Foreign Policy Research Institute in 1989. The director was James McGann. The program conducted research on policy institutes around the world, and maintained a database of over 8,200 think tanks from across the world. The Union of the Robert Schuman Institute for Developing Democracy in Central and Eastern Europe (short: Robert Schuman Institute, RSI) is the European level training institution of the European People’s Party political family, based in Budapest, Hungary. Foundation For Social Research And Analysis
The FAES (Fundación para el Análisis y los Estudios Sociales or "Foundation for Analysis and Social Studies" in English) is a Spanish think tank. It is a non-profit liberal-conservative organisation with strong links to the Popular Party (PP); it is even known informally as the "People's Party think-tank". Its headquarters are in Madrid. European Values () is a Czech non-governmental organisation founded in 2005 and financed from some governments. Its incentive is to raise political culture in the Czech Republic as well as on the European level. Luigi Sturzo Institute was founded in 1951 by Luigi Sturzo of the Partito Popolare (Italian Popular Party).
