Center Of Legal And Social Studies
The Center for Legal and Social Studies (in Spanish: Centro de Estudios Legales y Sociales; acronym: CELS) is an Argentinian non-governmental organization based in Buenos Aires. It was founded in 1979 and it is oriented towards the promotion and defense of human rights as well as the strengthening of democratic institutions. Its current president is social anthropologist Sofía Tiscornia. Jorge Rafael Videla (; ; 2 August 1925 – 17 May 2013) was an Argentine military officer and dictator, Commander in Chief of the Army, member of the Military Junta, and ''de facto'' President of Argentina from 29 March 1976 to 29 March 1981.
